One takes orders from state other takes orders from pentagon. Reserves has all jobs in every state, guard has most jobs in each state. Guard is only army or airforce, reserves has every branch. When a disaster happens in your state you get called up to help out as guard, reserves they dont. Both usually have the same schedules, guard has more funding for extra training USUALLY, unless youre in a poor state, and both have benefits and bonuses."

Go to regular recruiter and ask for the national guard recruiters number.

Pay varies. But if I were to work overseas for DoD, I would make 40K more a year. If you just want to do a contractor stint for 40-80k for a single deployment period, go for it. I personally dont see any benefit to going term contractor because benefits are shit, and theres no guarantee of future contracts. IMO its better to just work a full time job for private or gov. I mean maybe if youre one of those guys who refuses to acknowledge civilian life, it would work out, but there are so many better options. Especially if you have a family. I could never understand willingly going on a contract when you got a wife and kids back home, because you gotta pay a crazy amount for healthcare, and you never see them. Ive never met a happy couple where one of the spouses is gone for 9 months out of the year.

If it sounds like i dont like term contractors, its because I know too many that have issues with their families. Think of it like this, with the military, a deployment you at least have the excuse of, im going for defense of nation or to make sure my buddies make it through type of stuff, but with contracting, its just for money. Many people dont get that youre not supposed to do contracting overseas forever if you plan to have a healthy relationship with your family."

My orders say

>Travel Days authorized if traveling by privately owned conveyance: 8 days

I left my tech school on Thursday and had RAP start on Monday so I could have 12 days of RAP, ending on Friday. Since RAP starts on a Monday and I left tech school on a thursday, my tech school leaders told me I would have to use my own personal leave on the days in between the day I left tech school and when RAP began. So I was thinking that I had 8 days of travel since I'll be driving from my RAP area to my base, and if I somehow took longer than 8 days, they would start charging more of my personal leave since I was only authorized 8 days.

Also, TMO said they would reimburse the cost of the ticket from tech school to my RAP area at finance."

If it took you more than the total 8 days, then ya it makes sense they charge you leave. But, usually if it takes longer, then any expenses outside of the 8 day range cannot be recovered by travel. Tell them what jobs you want to go for, they make you take the asvab, then when you choose from the job list, you choose only what you planned to sign up for. If its not there, tell them thanks and leave. Dont get peer pressured into something you dont want. You can wait for that job to open."

Well, the thing with the navy is, you HAVE to pick your job at meps, so even if they call you up and say oh I see this job open now, lets schedule your next meps date in a few days or weeks, doesnt mean the job will be there when you get to meps. So, if you dont pick a job the first time, you probably wont be going to meps for a few weeks, and if it doesnt pop up a second time, your recruiters might ghost you. So up to you on how aggressive you are with your job choice. Have high scores and good pt stats to at least make it worthwhile for them to have to keep driving your ass to meps every few weeks. Otherwise, why would they bother going the extra mile to help out some dumbass fatbody? So have at least 3-5 jobs in your head before you start this whole process."

Wait a sec.

I just want to inform you that if you went officer and branched engineer corps, you would get trained to work as a fully fledged civil engineer. The beauty of the army is that they dont care at all what your degree is in, and they will train you to be whatever, engineer, computers, pilot, etc. Look into that if you want to work in civil engineering. Google what the army corps of engineers are. I think it would fit with what you want to do."

If you want to be a combat medic, look no further than Army 18D, Navy SARC, and AF PJ.

If you just want to be in the medical field doing actual shit, you can actually come in as a nurse officer(the equivalent of an RN), or if you got the specific classes done, you can actually go to military medical school and become a doctor and start out as an O3 when you finish medical school."

I smoked pot a lot back in high school
Mom found out sent me to behavioral health
Told the shrink I had tried other stuff like psychedelics stimulants and she put me on psych meds
Additionally she declared I had some kind of anxiety disorder substance abuse disorder and took extensive notes. The office I worked out of wanted a detailed description of my psych notes to send to maps I told them to fuck off and am pretty much in limbo. I know about the seal "mental toughness" my father was actually in underwater demolition back when that it's own thing. That mindset really applies for any "selection" rating, swcc in my case. But it's one of those things that you really won't know until you are there. My marine friend was 100% motivated totally amped and he quit after 7 days. In port literally nothing. Its so fucking boring all we did was clean our spaces 3 times and try to look busy.
At sea though ya nothing but watch. We were port and stbd for a whole 7 month deployement. Stood watch from 7-12 and again from 17-00 everyday. Worth it though its a good job. Essentially no maintenance which was cool.

So for nsw they have their own boot with a mandatory dive physical. They can't see the specifics but they can see that I was prescribed psych meds. That soudns rad as fuck. One of the big reasons I joined the military was for the sense of brotherhood. Sure, I would have got more of it as a non-POG, but they told me I was too smart for the Army and Marines, and the Air Force had a habit of not replying to anything. So I guess this is fine by me, hoping the bond is strengthened out at sea though. On another note, among the technician community, OS's are known by their unparalleled ability to break things. Just thought I'd let you know.

My buddies from Great Lakes are there and my senpai lives in AZ, so it'd be the best case scenario if I got stationed there.

Your best bet would be talking to your doctor that prescribed you the meds about getting a waiver that says nothing about weed on it. At that point, that's up to you and the doctor. Other than that, your shit looks solid.

And yeah you can get in and tryout for uds after 2 years, but keep in mind that's 2 years of your life and being able to tryout for buds ultimately depends on what your CO thinks. And if I were you, I'd think that's too iffy, because that was my original plan, and now I'm told that I'll never be able to switch out of the FC rate because it's critical and the CO won't approve it, no matter what ship I'm on.
Which sucks. I didn't want to be a pog."

>OS's are known by their unparalleled ability to break things. Just thought I'd let you know.
LOL yes but this is so mis understood. This is gonna tie in to what I said earlier about OSs being cool. We kind of have a bad reputation in general cause our division is so large and we are all pretty tight do to all the watch and time spent together so we kind of develop a too cool for school mentality. So most of the time when stuff breaks or isnt working we could probably figure it out but say fuck it call the ETs instead were going on a smoke break. Also we routinely mess with things to bust peoples balls. I have so many stories like that jesus.

>Fuck dude. The amount of stupid stories I'd have is one of the big reasons why I joined. Granted, I do have a few but they're not as crazy as fleet stories.
Ya the fleet is where its at, itll be the best and the worst times. My first deployement was just a 3 monther, we went to Yokosuka to do a hull swap and were in port nearly the whole time and it was probably the ebst 3 months of my life. The deployement was suppoed to be a full 7 monther but while we were in port Sequestration happened and the canceled it all, which sucked huge ass cause we were lined up to hit Thailand, Vietnam, and indonesia. The triple crown of the pacific is Thailand, Vietnam, and Phillipines. So I missed the first 2 but I hit 3 different Philli ports including manilla on my 2nd deployement."

Well kind of, but it isnt new people already know that ET and FC are push button so its already established. Plus the Navy is pretty segmented. You can be friends with everyone but you mostly just deal with people in your division its not like youre gonna even need respect from other people outside your division.

Oakland. I want a difficult job that forces me to learn a lot, I want to make an impact on many people's lives. I want to feel necessary in my workplace and not disposable. I hate just getting by and army was the easiest path imo to leave everything behind and actually start living. My family had a chokehold on my life until the day I turned 18 and kicked me out telling me to not talk to them until I'm married, so I was a homeless child for 5 years trying to figure out how to interact with people. I'm tired of not being challenged mentally in any way.

I've always had a fascination with body parts (bones, tendons, and muscles specifically), have a great attention to detail and could always notice changes in environment. I think it would be best for me to do radiology instead of slaving away at a warehouse so passively that I can't remember what month it is.

I don't like interacting with people to the degree where I'd consider a therapist position, but I do enjoy interaction. I wouldn't mind slaving away in a dark room alone for 15 hours a day however."

Alright,lets put you on the track for registered nurse, they make 60 an hour starting in the bay area. My sister is actually a RN in san fran right now making 90 an hour. Lives in a cabin at tahoe and commutes to SF to work 3 days a week.

This is what you do, enlist as a 68C,this gets you working as an LPN, doing basic nurse work, at the end of AIT you actually get licensed as one. Then during your 3-4 years work on a bachelors of nursing online, then when your contract is over you will either have your BSN done or be close to finishing. If you need to finish it when youre out, finish it at SFSU, so you get paid 4-5k a month from GI bill, and apply for unemployment to get an extra 1-2k on top, or just work as an LPN at a hospital part time,pay is 40 bucks anhour starting. Once you have your BSN you can take the state liscensing exams either for free or reduced costs. Once you have everything done you can apply for an RN position andstart out with 70-80 an hour because of work exp and degree.

Reason im against radiology is because you can make more and co tribute more as a nurse be it LPN or RN.

I actually have my BSN done(along with a shit ton of other licenses), and im signed up for medical school through the military, ill start next year. Switching from army to airforce. So ill be an airforce O3 or O4 when i finish med school."

Yeah all these schools honestly got harder overall post 9/11. Just look at BUDS today. 20 years ago you could go to into BUDS with a standard high school athletic background and come out alright provided you were resilient and truly wanted it. Now you have to do like 26-52 weeks of intensive training to even be competitive. That being said, SFPC (SOPC) does a great job of getting guys to succeed at SFAS, which is why X-Rays actually do pretty well provided they make it to SFAS. Not as well as batt guys, but better than your standard 11b from a line unit. Some people shit on programs like SFPC and pre-RASP but if you're going to make that intense of a selection course, you honestly might as well try to help guys coming off the street be succesful."

But as long as they dont get a shitty job they are usually happy, just pissed from wasting so much time. The ones who take it the worst are always females. Mostly because they get the shittiest job selections lmao. Usually I tell people that once they get that shitty job and they dont like it, they can reroll the dice by going to the S3 and getting another option/options. For example, one chick I knew got fucked when she was trying to reclass to 35P(she couldnt get a TS because army trolled her with SLRP, didnt pay, and loans now became delinquent), she had a secret clearance, then they gave her carpenter, I was like, go to s3 and try again since your unit is shitty, she went, and came back with 37F with airborne and language school."

Dope. Gonna ask some cod kid questions then. When you worked with 18F's, how much analysis did they do themselves vs. just giving you raw intel to analyze? While 18F's I assumed worked pretty closely with SOT-A's, did 18E's ever work with them at all? Also, besides making sure people can talk to each other, what the hell do 18E's do? Do they ever intercept communications / do SIGINT shit? Alright that's all my cod questions. Thank you 350f senpai."

if(Anonymous && title=="" && postNumber==38539381 && dateTime=="07/12/18(Thu)13:26:52")

18F are the people who gather info from the main intel support team. This is the person we relay info to(as well as the team leader and his xo). They are essentially the guys who are supposed to know all the shit about everything for the area and operations. I will add that they only let the most squared away dudes do this job, its not a choice, its an assigment, just like sf warrants. 18E only deal with comms and make sure they got all their shit running. If they do have to do intercept shit, they just have familiarization with the equipment and set it up. But you would be surprised with what a support team of 35N/S/P can do with very little hands on. When I was in group, we had a commo warrant always hanging around the 18Es making sure everything was running and they knew how to do shit.

Also, 18F dont really talk to SOTA. The intel support team and leadership talk to SOTA. SOTA is kind of seperate from group."

Lmao no. Pick combat or pick intel. Like I said, 18F is not a choice, its an assignment. If you want both, you gotta do them seperately. Or join the USMC, go sniper, then career as ground intel. Although from what ive heard, that job area is extremely broad, you can be assigned to a desk, or you can be leading a team. But I dont know too much about it, probably wait till bro203 trip guy pops up and ask him since he does that.

Now its not TOTALLY unrealistic to do both, for instance you could probably do recon type stuff in regiment as an 11B, then say fuck you awesome job, I wanna be a butterbar intel officer(I dont mention reclassing because that would be the dumbest fucking career move to make in an already dumb career plan).

You will just waste alot of time trying to do both combat and intel in the army."

Shit, West Point APPROACHED my dad begging for him to attend just off his asvab and performance in his first year. if(Anonymous && title=="" && postNumber==38539564 && dateTime=="07/12/18(Thu)13:54:26")

cuz SF is cool. Seriously though because I think SF attracts a certain group of people that wouldn't normally be interested in big army, honestly myself included in that category. Like a guy with a masters that's 25 or older may be willing to join up if he has a straight shot at SF. I think that's why 18x is actually a good thing besides just being a way for the army to fill shitty MOS's with stupid kids that drop first day of SOPC hold. I guess for me, I come from an upper middle class background, in which my parents are willing to pay for a top tier STEM degree so the perks of why most people join (free college, literally a job and way to escape from home) don't really apply to me. But SF being a direct option (obviously OSUT, Airborne and SOPC exist but still more direct than any other way) is more appealing to me than working at da Google making $200,000-300,000 a year as a software engineer. No, thats actually extremely reasonable. With a degree alone you can get in on a GS5 position as an intel analyst. Or shit, just get any GS job period in any field, and you can lat transfer into intel.

I was just saying doing both in military is very unlikely unless you just want to waste time."

if(Anonymous && title=="" && postNumber==38539777 && dateTime=="07/12/18(Thu)14:17:39")

Not too bad, because you will already have a clearance and be vetted. I went from Library of congress, to DIA, to army. Its all about how you set up your resume, application, and go through the interview. The main issue is it takes months to hear back, and job postings fluctuate, sometimes they will be hiring for the job you want and sometimes they wont. When I was starting out, I had 5 job offers that I accepted, and I went with the first one that sent me the final offer letter and the quickest start date. Didnt notify the other positions until my ass was in seat. You got to be very proactive in applying every single day. Dont be one of those people who applies for 5 jobs all at once then waits. You gotta be checking shit every day.

Also, its easier to get in DoD than anything else. FBI takes too goddamn long, CIA purposely takes fucking forever to respond, and NSA at least responds pretty fast. I would just stick to DoD and every other agency that isnt the big 3. Pretty much anything that uses usajobs for hiring is fast(response within 3 months). FYI if you dont get responses or chosen for an interview, its not because there are better qualified people, its just that your resume did not reflect the job posting closely enough. Resumes are not scanned by a program like some people believe. A random HR guy is the one that passes your resume through. He doesnt know what the job is at all, so he just compares the resume to the posting. If it looks similar, he passes it up. Then the hiring authority(your future boss) looks through the 10-20 resumes that HR pushes through from the 50-100, and selects the top 5 that sounds legit and not copy pasted. Then during the interview, they choose the candidate that they feel will be great to work with personality wise, AND gives the most detailed answers on work experience. They dont want generic internet answers, they want extremely detailed real life examples."

if(Anonymous && title=="" && postNumber==38539810 && dateTime=="07/12/18(Thu)14:21:31")

Ah ok dope. I plan on doing NG SF, finishing out my degree (CS w/ Arabic minor if that means anything) after the completing the Q hopefully, and applying to three letters my junior year and DoD senior year. So basically it comes down to just crafting a solid resume like any other job provided you have an interesting background?"

Dont bother applying for 3 letter agencies until after you get your degree. They are gonna screen you out. Also, make sure you know exactly what job you want to do in those agencies, especially CIA, because they dont let you apply multiple times, they make you apply for multiple jobs all at once. So my recommendation is immediately once you start your final semester, apply for every job you can on usajobs(most entry level are on the east coast or midwest). That includes places like library of congress, dept of treasury, dept of interior, architect of the capitol, smithsonian, etc. Literally every GS job you see. That way you are actually working and progressing, instead of sitting around waiting for cia, fbi, etc. Hell you could probably get a job as a human resources assistant, lat transfer to intel, and have over a year under your belt before you start the process for those other jobs, and probably 2 years before you even have a start date for training and shit."

if(Anonymous && title=="" && postNumber==38539875 && dateTime=="07/12/18(Thu)14:30:46")

>because you will already have a clearance and be vetted
This is changing. I've kept a toe in that side of things and by the end of next year, clearances will be role/branch specific and not government-wide.

I have no idea why people plan elaborate and complex career plans like this. Why go to one place with the intention of transferring to another? If you want that one, just join them in the first place. Of course people do transfer but it's usually under less than desirable circumstances.

If you want to work for the DoD then join the DoD. If you want to work for the FBI/CIA/whatever, join them. They have recruitment processes. Military experience will give you a bit of an in, but most of your colleagues will not have any and they will do quite fine in whatever role."

if(Anonymous && title=="" && postNumber==38539894 && dateTime=="07/12/18(Thu)14:33:58")

I was talking more like, I have a clearance from smithsonian thats active, so when I apply for fbi or whatever, they will have already vetted me through DOJ within the past year when they ran my name for the smithsonian job, etc. I wasnt trying to be specific, just saying in general."

if(Anonymous && title=="" && postNumber==38539925 && dateTime=="07/12/18(Thu)14:38:11")

At the moment you are cleared and then that's that. Barring TK clearances they're accepted anywhere in the USA and anywhere the USA happens to have a presence, doesn't matter who you were working for when you got it. You could get it through the USMC and use it with the Department of Agriculture.

This is going to change. The reasoning shouldn't really bother you, but what will happen now is that a central agency will conduct vetting and the individual assigned a clearance will only be able to use it within strict parameters. There are going to be some exceptions to that but across the board clearances and vetting is going to become a lot tighter."

if(Anonymous && title=="" && postNumber==38539978 && dateTime=="07/12/18(Thu)14:45:44")

Lmao, I understand how clearances work. I know its gonna change, but theres no point in discussing it and confusing new people when it hasnt taken effect yet. Just like why we dont use the tier system on here, because that info hasnt caught up with the public yet, they still think its SSBI, NACLC, SS, TS, etc.

I was more talking about that if you have a clearance period, that means youve been vetted by DoJ and your hiring agency, so hiring authorities will look at that with a little favorability. I actively participate in hiring panels for army. When a hiree mentions their clearance, we just look that its within the 3 year timeline, otherwise we just get them what they need no problem. In the future, its not gonna be that simple, and we will actually start categorizing needs. But where I work, EVERYONE has to have a TS."

CIA have different clearances already. So thats not a very good comparison. It has to do that security offices arent revoking access everytime a personnel doesnt need it anymore. For example, the NATO clearances, those are supposed to be revoked once you leave a unit that requires it.

No, its what we call TS and Secret and such now. It was to seperate shit like Top Secret and Top Secret/SCI type of stuff. Because some stuff just doesnt and shouldnt require a full SSBI etc. And then you got public trust shit, etc. They just wanted to make it less lengthy in wording to describe all this shit."

if(Anonymous && title=="" && postNumber==38540059 && dateTime=="07/12/18(Thu)14:58:19")

Not as such.

There are ones that are rarer to issue, but aren't necessarily any more difficult to acquire. TK is a good example of that. They go into no more investigative depth of you as an individual than TS, but the job it's related to is weird so very few people actually get one. STRAP is the same. Fewer individuals will get one, but it's not any "harder" to get. The process is the same.

The British model, which is the one the US will be adopting, is probably a good example of how to get it right. It's (very) strictly run, with clear differences between each level and decent practice all-round. I had a British DV (TS-SCI equiv) and the process was unnerving, to say the least."

>Incorporating signals intelligence equipment and analysts into the SFAB could contribute to the advisory mission in two ways. First, signals intelligence should act as a primary means of detecting threats to advisory forces in the unstable environments in which they will operate. Second, fusing sophisticated U.S. SIGINT capabilities with the advised forces’ knowledge of the local environment can both enhance the SFABs’ credibility and encourage partner forces to develop complementary SIGINT capacity of their own. The sweet spot for any advising mission is to demonstrate an authentic desire to improve a partner’s capacity by using unique capabilities to achieve shared goals. And, by demonstrating the utility of SIGINT technology without simply handing it over, the advisors can motivate advisees to develop their own capabilities without creating dependencies."

FYI picat isnt the real asvab, its another practice test because you got such a low score.

I HIGHLY recommend you study the asvab for dummys book every single day until you take the real asvab at meps. There is a free copy in the sticky, or just spent the 10-20 bucks for the latest version. We recommend this particular study guide because all the pictures and questions will almost exactly the same as on the real test. I actually got a 43 on the practice test, and after studying the book along with other study guide brands, I got a 92. I had only 3 days to study too. If it makes you feel better, my cousin got a 13 on the practice and got an 88 on the real. She went MP too, shes a CID agent now.

I dont understand what you meant by
>Military police is the only combat or weapons based, job in the reserves and i want to atleast work with guns in some way.
You know that other jobs like 11b, 19d, exist in the reserves. Also, if you just want to handle guns and possibly become a gunsmith, you can go 91F, they offer a program at the AIT to become a certified gunsmith in conjunction with a gunsmithing school."

if(Anonymous && title=="" && postNumber==38541376 && dateTime=="07/12/18(Thu)17:55:32")

Alright, so essentially SFAB is three parts, one part as an instructor, one part as support for our forces, and one part as support for joint missions. As a 35N, you are gonna be overseeing the training of the field sigint equipment, as well as overall intelligence handling. During joint support missions, youre gonna be advising a foreign sigint(or just plain intelligence) team(the one you helped train up).

What rank are you?"

if(Anonymous && title=="" && postNumber==38541434 && dateTime=="07/12/18(Thu)18:01:22")

DO NOT do MP if your plan is to do local LEO. When you go in front of the hiring panel for the LEO job they are going to pass you over automatically. Because, as an MP you are going to learn a bunch of laws and procedures that absolutely will confuse the shit out of you with real civilian laws. If your purpose is LEO, go any other job. If youre not gonna go LEO, then continue on with 31B

As far as the test goes, yes the real asvab is a broad range of subjects. HOWEVER, the scores that determine what jobs pop up on your list, and determine future military schools you can attend, fall under the GT score. GT score and QT score(the one thats on the scale of 1-99) are all math and english. The other subjects and scores determine job specialties. If you look in the for dummys book, it explains how the scoring all works. FYI we all recommend the for dummys version just because of how closely it relates to the actual test. Ive looked at the kaplan and other brands and they werent as close as the for dummys to the real test. Definitely study your ass off. Better to score high now, then having to retake the test later when youre in and need a higher score to attend shit like airborne and such."

PICAT is the real ASVAB, actually. You take it on your own, and then go in to MEPS to confirm the results in a 30 min test. If you get a similar enough score in that 30 min test your score on the PICAT is your ASVAB score. If it's too different, it launches you right into the ASVAB and that new one is the one that counts."

You can submit the packet literally the day you finish ALC. It took 3 months before I got word back for a report date to wocs. Mind you, I was pulling all sorts of shit. After I returned from ALC, I was supposed to extend my contract, but instead I switched over to reserves, which I had been in contact with for months, and already had my warrant packet ready for submission day one of reserves. Once they submitted the packet I got word 3 months later with a report date. Thats pretty fucking fast considering it was through reserves, and my peers at wocs all had similar timelines, about 3 months to get approval and a report date. I had been preparing and planning all that for about a year. I had a really shitty final active unit. Im talking denial of medical quarters, no signatures on profiles, clothing inventory checks every month, all kinds of bullshit for NCO and junior enlisted alike. It was just a very bad command team. I gave them a year, and they didnt fucking square away so I said fuck this shit. I couldnt leave either since that duty station was part of my reup bonus."

I fell in love with VA(originally from CA), and my wife was from here. So I decided to settle down in northern VA where I work and where my unit is. It was between working northern VA area/DC area or working in as an instructor for DIA over in western VA. Luckily my area responded fast, and my reserve unit commander is ridiculous, when I interviewed with him, he was like, if you join my unit im pushing you into CW3, IDC how many waivers we have to put in. You would have fun at DIA though. I dont want to recommend meade because fuck meade. You can always go to quantico and work for the muh reens. CIA is too slow in their hiring process for my tastes, plus the pay is shit compared to DoD amazingly. NSA would be cool, if your coworkers wouldnt be the nerdiest spergs the civilian world has to offer.

When you do decide to get out, either career the 20 years, or switch to reserves. Dont just up and quit. Reserves is so fucking easy, and the benefits are pretty awesome. Only reason I didnt do 20 was because I didnt want to pay taxes for the retirement while im still working until im 70. Only dumbasses retire at 38 years old and go off the grid. If you're legitimately autistic and have low-t you're not going to make it in the communities you think you want to be a part of. You're not gonna be "one of the bros" or the marksman-savant they call upon when needed.
Used to be in a platoon with a legit aspie and he was constantly eaten alive for failing to adhere to regulations, failing to explain himself whenever he fucked up, and generally was a total waste on the system because he was crushed. To him, he could do nothing right because when push came to shove and shit had to happen someone would get fed up with his shit and have to do it for him because too much was going on for him to handle.
Now all of that aside, this guy would never be capable of leading anyone else, so if he was allowed to stay in (he wasn't) then he'd eventually become an NCO (I don't think he ever did) and then...not do NCO things? Fuck no. He had some potential but whatever was there was crushed by people not understanding he was a fucking sperg.
So one more time, if you actually think you're autistic you're going to have a rude awakening if you managed to join and be a grunt."

"/meg/ I'm just looking for a way out, a new scene. It seems the Airforce is the only way. Is there a way to guarantee a base in like Asia, maybe hit up Korea or hell, throw me in Animeland; they have two bases. Can I ask for like an open contract in return or anything. I really don't know what I want I'm just nearly 23 and running in circles. Although it seems the AF doesn't really do enlistment bonus' or anything to sweeten the pot. But I assume with all the memes the AF is just comfier, "easier." Literally the only thing that piques my interest would be like 19K in the army since tonks r pretty cool and that's not really something I would ever be able to on the civie side.

Any tips? Insights? Ideas? Should I just enter the navy since I'm a fag?"
