OP here. Absolutely disgusted by this. Strelizia is a giant beautiful robutt, and her Apus form was especially gorgeous. But seeing her being turned into a human girl with robot parts slapped on is awful. Why couldn't they have just turned her into Strelizia Apus Roja like they did with regular Strelizia in episode 15? For the not-so subtle wedding dress? They didn't even turn her into red 02 they kept her lame human skin for this transformation.

Am I the only one that liked the ending episodes because of the way the story came into fruition rather than stagnating as a way too long arc of Monster of the week with side drama of love triangles that went no where? I mean it's like the first 20 episodes were there to make up the smallest impact on the ending. Of course there's also the crap with how the MCs get denied their fairy tale happy ending while fucking Mitsukoko gets literally everything handed to them despite Mitsuru and Kokoro being the most useless characters both off and on the battlefield. All so they could have a bittersweet ending that hasn't ever been fucking done before, nope haven't seen that shit a million times in anime.

It's a love story at the end of it all. If you think love stories are trite you'd be right but heartless. Strike one for you. Maybe if it was a hentai about fucking 40 foot tall robots it would be your thing but it's not so you enjoyed the cringe inducing first 15 episodes and hated that the foreshadowing took effect as predicted if you were paying attention. But you weren't. You were too busy focusing on the monster of the week and your robutts to try to make sense of the plot sprinkled throughout those first 15 episodes. So the aliens came out of nowhere to you because you weren't paying attention. Strike two for you. The side characters weren't important for the main focus of the story but played a big role in the ending. If there hadn't been that bit the tragedy would have been severely amplified instead of bittersweet. You needed the side characters to save the planet in order for the main two to come back to as fated. You glossed over this as "Why are these two cis, het people having so much importance to the story? This really twerkles my nipples!" when they're the progenitors of the human race's reestablishment. Strike three. The ending was fine. You're just too much of a retard to understand the tone shift and probably easily offended by completely normal story elements that have been part of fiction since myths. Take your hormones and calm down. Maybe freshen up that purple hair dye you've been lazy about redoing. Pamper yourself.
