3/4 of a frog base.

if(Anonymous && title=="" && postNumber==568286 && dateTime=="10/04/18(Thu)05:18:57")

if(Anonymous && title=="" && postNumber==568303 && dateTime=="10/04/18(Thu)13:03:03" && image=="Rattata reference possibly.png")

Kite and fish bases were the first things I tried, as the site mentions 22.5, but they don't help with any reference points. If I just fold the square on the inside of the blue lines here, I can crease everything, it's just grafting on the excess I can't work out."

if(Anonymous && title=="" && postNumber==568363 && dateTime=="10/05/18(Fri)14:47:04")

You numpty the golden rule of origami is every line relates to where it meets an old crease ..or parallel to or half way between or a section of a as a newbie look at the half then the third then the square of....where the bisector or plane sometimes 80% hidden is line with the start.."

if(Anonymous && title=="" && postNumber==568376 && dateTime=="10/05/18(Fri)19:34:05")

I know the logic of crease patterns, I have solved several with no help and no problems through various means of trial and error.
Look at the image I posted - the rabbit ear you suggested doesn't provide any other references that would naturally lead to the next one. Nor do they intersect with thirds, quarters, fifths, sixth, sevenths, or eights. So at what point does your suggestion provide a solid reference point for the blue lines in >>568303 ?

If you're still so cocksure I'm not getting what you're saying, show me on the crease pattern."

if(Anonymous && title=="" && postNumber==570462 && dateTime=="01/04/19(Fri)11:42:12" && image=="600px-145Zapdos.png")

This is Zapdos. So, sort of looks the same? I like the spikes on the back of the head. Which I guess you can't see there.

There are more pictures here:"

if(Anonymous && title=="" && postNumber==570463 && dateTime=="01/04/19(Fri)11:44:39")

There's like part of a crease pattern, but not the head"

if(Anonymous && title=="" && postNumber==570469 && dateTime=="01/04/19(Fri)18:54:50" && image=="Rattata reference.jpg")

I've finally managed to crack this. It's a bit hard to explain, but I'll do my best.

Best to do all these creases lightly so as not to interfere with the rest of the CP - fold two fish bases at opposite ends of the diagonal, then bring the lower raw edge to where the short crease of the fish base intersects with the diagonal across the paper (and where the two bisectors intersect on the top triangle of the square [both marked with red crosses on this pic]). Where this new crease intersects with the short crease of the opposite end fish base (marked with circled crosses) provides the reference for the vertical line marked in blue in >>568303"

if(Anonymous && title=="" && postNumber==570473 && dateTime=="01/04/19(Fri)23:07:08" && image=="Calico_Koratta_Ref.jpg")

i'm not sure this will help anymore, but here's how i got my reference points

also, i like Calico's origami a lot (i wish i could get the zapdos crease pattern), but i've noticed before that there's a pretty big jump between the finished crease pattern and the model. the bottom right is what i ended up with, and, while i can basically tell what's what, it needs a lot of shaping"

if(Anonymous && title=="" && postNumber==570487 && dateTime=="01/05/19(Sat)16:42:31")

Well, it's certainly less complicated than mine. I did a quick test and it seems your references don't quite line up with mine, but that could be due to me testing it very quickly and very roughly. But they look close enough together to not make a huge difference whichever way we do it.

I like his models too. Nidoran and Pidgey were the two that drove me to learn how to read crease patterns. You're so right about how much shaping his models need - I spent 6 months repeatedly trial-and-erroring Nidoran and it's now one of my favourite things to fold. Drowzee's next, but it's bloody insane. I have what I think is the correct base, but I have no idea where to go from there, other than the nose."

if(Anonymous && title=="" && postNumber==570539 && dateTime=="01/07/19(Mon)12:21:23" && image=="Rattata CP results.jpg")

Interesting, I checked the two reference points again on the same sheet and again, they don't quite align. However, I tested out your method and continued with the entire CP and got exactly the same results as with mine. The coloured one was using your method, the white mine and they're identical.

Given that your method is much cleaner than mine, I think I'll stick to using that, so thanks! In hindsight, it seems so simple and obvious, I'm kinda annoyed with myself I couldn't figure it out sooner."

if(Anonymous && title=="" && postNumber==570650 && dateTime=="01/10/19(Thu)15:01:50")

i been doing all those tanteidan magazine crease pattern challenges, so i look for reference points a lot. it's funny, but you only need almost perfect points for most models. (i have run into a couple that being even slightly off will ruin the whole thing)

i didn't end up much into Calico's stuff, because my favourites didn't have crease patterns (zapdos, raichu, jirachi, and some others like space godzilla)"
