I got sectioned after doing something really dangerous, I live near one of the most difficult to navigate rivers in my country. Whilst in psychosis I was instructed by the voices to swim across this river, which I did. But, that river was the river where my dad's best friend killed himself. In the hospital I met a woman, she looked like the female version of my dad's best friend and she talked like him too. When she first saw me she came upto me and asked "is your dad Harry Smith? He was my best friend in culinary school, we used to live together, you look just like him." I was pretty shocked and replied "no, my dad is Barry Smith, but to be fair he did go to culinary school." I was shocked because she said a name almost identical to my dad's and my dad really did meet his best friend in culinary school where they started living together as a result.';

For me this state is like going into "observer" mode, it feels like I'm taking a step back from everything which I perceive (senses, emotions, thoughts) and instead of being absorbed by them I am instead watching them from a neutral point of view.

I can do this during all activities but if I do it while sitting in the dark I sometimes get to a point in which I get so far away from all those thoughts, daydreams, emotions e.t.c. that I am left in true silence.

Here are my 2 questions:

1) People say that if I stay in that silent state then things will happen but others say that I have to focus on who is watching the silence or that I have to focus on my focusing, how can I do these? I can't seem to garsp them.

2) If meditation can be used to do many other things then how do I do that? People say for example that they can focus on parts of their body and "energize them" or that they can access old forgotten memories through meditation etc. To me doing anything else besides observing during meditation seems like I'm just daydreaming or that I'm producing thoughts (and I can then distance myself from them like I described before thus ending them).';

These past few nights however i’ve been having a terrible time getting to sleep, falling to sleep around 2-3am, waking up briefly at 4am and then waking up for real at 9am etc…
Well last night during my attempts to sleep I was in a quasi sleep/awake stupor for what felt like an hour. I kept seeing CEV of people staring at me menacingly, different people/cartoons/animals/insects/shapes(?) would appear and disappear behind my eyelids all creepily staring at me.
Finally had enough of it and got up, walked around and then was able to fall asleep but needless to say this freaked me the fuck out.
What caused this? I don’t have schizophrenia or a family history of it, was it just a lack of sleep?

Basic gist is that these people staged and still stage events in my life to divide or create chaos . In the last 9-11 months it has been at its most chaotic. It looked like almost nothing else in the world, more like a sea creature. The closest thing I could liken it to was a jellyfish. It had a lot of eyes, and my friends witnessed it in the dream. It didn't have wings or any means of levitation, the creature didn't fly but it levitated 15 to 20 meters above the ground.

The scariest part of the dream was that the creature spoke to me one-on-one and knew everything that was going on inside me. Without me opening my mouth, it was speaking for me, saying things that I knew, and my friends were saying things like, 'How can this creature know these things, what is this? The creature told me that it was with me, that I could never be separated from it, that it would always be inside me.

The thing the creature most resembles is picture related. I usually laugh at such dreams, I don't take them seriously, but I have never had such a strange, frightening dream in my life. I have never encountered such a creature in my dreams in my life. I am someone who has never experienced DMT, I fell asleep normally.

Can someone tell me what this dream means, what is the creature I saw? I'm really curious and I'm sure there are people here who know something about it.';
