Not every Explosion she casts results in a desert like webm related, most often she just leaves a crater like normal. She has lots of control over her spell, and can make it large and powerful without necessarily destroying the environment. I wouldn't because it's very hard to narrow down a design that represents him or his series. I've had the same problem when someone has offered to embroider things or make pins. The most consistent symbol has been roses, but they are both associated with the villain of the series (and thus the ship between him and the villain), and with a traumatic scene where he's manipulated with accusations about killing his own family. Uploaded that post if anyone is curious to read it, it's all lowercase and some of it might be culturally jarring, but keep in mind it's from Tumblr and was dated something like 2013. It may read ship leaning if you're unfamiliar with the series, but I hope it sheds light on why I refer to Hisoka as my son and wouldn't want to tear Tsuzuki away from his colleagues. I tried writing a TL;DR but it got too long to post, bahaha. The main takeaway is that Asato isn't him any more.

I do want to add though: they missed a 2nd character calling him by his first name - King Enma when he's exploiting and abusing memories of his childhood. Fuck that guy. That confirms when Tsuzuki was a child he was Asato. Muraki's records far as we see don't use his name, but we can assume by Muraki jnr's language that staff used his surname out of courtesy, so the change occurred after Ruka's death, when he was hospitalised. Also Hisoka wasn't just called awful things by villagers, his father would take him to a grave dedicated to Hisoka, and the ghosts of dead children would berate him for using the name. He absolutely reads into people's emotional intent more than he'd care about them saying -kun or -dono properly. He has to scrape for the caring feelings where he can, as he did with his battered father. No wonder he calls Tsuzuki "the father, older brother, or older sister I never had before".

'People were talking in the other thread about "making an OC/alt of your waifu", and I had a think about it, and while it may not be quite as complex a deviation I must admit that I have a few I've entertained over the years. The most obvious would be a genderbend.

In canon I cannot deny that vol 5's "Ruka" is likely supposed to resemble my husband's mother, as dialogue in other arcs suggest that the Earl and King were both interested in her, and it easily explains the Earl's motivations if he's projecting her on Tsuzuki. The same arc has Tatsumi comparing Tsuzuki to his mother, which may be a result of the author having mums on the brain. Either way, this female Tsuzuki exists in a pocket dimension managed by the enchanted book and her background is a completely different setting from the main canon. Any time I've drawn or imagined a female Tsuzuki outside of the book's setting I am deviating from canon and creating my own Tsuzuki, even if I've transplanted her into the regular Tsuzuki's life and clothes. I think it works because I'm non-committal with it. I don't want to think too hard about how elements of a horror series would work out if the protagonist was a woman. It would certainly change how Tsuzuki was treated and how she would feel or act towards others. I prefer a simple happy scene divorced of further context. I say, and then consider that one thing that frustrates me with book Tsuzuki is how helpless she is, and how whimsical she's made to be by the book's machinations. She can only represent a small slice of everything he is, and you know if she could do the other things too she'd be fucking hot. It's not a noble motivation for making alt-waifu but it's genuine.

Another thing I've played with is a speculative progression from details given in the series. Assuming his oni heritage isn't a metaphor and depicting it more literally, with horns etc.
