The first season is extremely good and has amazing mech action, it's one of my all time favorite shows. 2nd season suffers from a switch to early digital animation and the story isn't as good because Cartoon Network forced the creator to finish the story but it's not terrible. Schwarzwald is consistently great throughout both seasons.

A lot of people will tell you to watch the dub because muh Steve Blum but I disagree with them because I don't really think he does a great job and dub Dorothy sounds terrible. Dub Schwarzwald is fantastic though, I recommend looking up his scenes on YouTube after watching the show.';

Gundam ends up getting really artsy.
Char's Counterattack is a fucking masterpiece.
Victory Gundam gets pretty artistic.
Turn A Gundam is also a goddamn masterpiece.
And G no Reconguista is wonderfully subtle and probably the most refined and lovely show in the series.
This is all stuff directed by the series creator.
There's some spinoff stuff that people like too, like 0080, but I see that stuff as missing the point slightly.

I cannot emphasize enough how much of a masterpiece Char's Counterattack is.
It took me several viewings to digest it too. I actually hated it when I first watched it, but then it opens up and you see what Tomino was doing. My heart hurts ever time.';

Some of the ones I haven't seen are AGE and the Build Figher's series, which are more for young children. There are some others that are more serious, action oriented, or political, which you could argue have /cm/ guys, but which don't really have anything gay going on';
