We're talking in regards to pure looks. While being happy with yourself is important, most trannies that start in their 30's-40's tend to not be all that attractive. And much of that is dependent on when they started transitioning. Like I said, there are exceptions like Natalie Mars (the only example I can really think up desu) but from what I've seen at least out in the wild, in media, and even in /passgen/ or Twitter, its very hard to pass later in life than it is earlier.
