No. The cooper collar was made popular by Gary Cooper in the 40s, it was his collar of choice. Instead of the collar being stitched onto the shirt, it's made from the same fabric as the shirt itself, it's all one continuous piece. It doesn't button but it's otherwise an upgrade on the shape/structure of an OCBD collar and allows for even better collar roll.

A simple stitched leather belt works with almost everything. The second most versatile is braided leather. Good to bring down the formality of a tailored jacket or dress shoe, or just wear in any casual outfit. And then i have western, motif, and pattern belts. Those are obviously more niche but it can be cool to have a conversation piece like that.

My hot take will be not exactly. If BB shirts fit you properly, the fabric, cut and quality is still decent. The problem is not all BB shirts are equal.

The basic oxford shirts are now alpha sized. Previously you could get a better fit when they had neck and sleeve options ie 15.5x34. If the standard alpha size fits you properly, lucky you, if not you have to pay double price for the "Made in America" line which is still neck x sleeve sizing. Basic oxford is $98, miUSA is $198.

J Press is priced in the middle of the two, but you have can select different cuts, neck and sleeve and it's still miUSA. Also you can easily get discount codes to lower the price down so it's comparable to the basic BB OCBD price wise.

There are some differences detail wise between the two. I find J Press fabric to be thinner and lighter, more suitable for spring and summer. BB oxfords are often a little thicker and age better IMHO.

That's solely for retail. On the secondary market, BB beats the shit out of JPress. Vintage BB OCBDs (including miUSA) are exceptionally common on eBay for low prices, JPress is much more rare and often priced near to retail. There's also more diversity in colors and patterns for BB OCBDs on eBay compared to JPress.';

1: It is a woman's coat. If the buttons are on the left side, it's a woman's coat. That's a holdover tradition from when "proper" women had a maid servant to button their clothes for them. Buttons on the woman's left means they'd be on the servants right hand side.

2: Can't help on an identical male model, I'd say look into overcoats, great coats, duffel/toggle coats or pea coats etc if you want a button up coat that's functional and more formal.

For casual, chore coats and field jackets. Look at Carhartt duck jackets, Barbour jackets, and military M65 and OG107 jackets for overall styles. Tons of brands have equivalent jackets for each of those, with a little digging you can find an LL Bean jacket in most of those styles for way cheaper even with international shipping.
I know you like doing extra shit so try this: Wax a jacket yourself. It's cheap to do and hard to completely fuck up, get a decent Bean jacket and some wax. Take a day and apply it yourself, will completely transform the look and feel of the jacket and it will age beautifully. Make sure it's a fabric like cotton or canvas and you'll be fine.';

I’ve looked at a few fit guides to understand how they should fit and I think I’m pretty happy with how they fit but I still have a few questions if anyone can put my mind at ease.
1. When my foot is in the shoe, it feels comfortable. The sides of the shoe hugged my toes and I would describe it as a little snug. The length seems to be good because there is almost no heel slip and whilst the shoe is snug on my toes, there are a couple centimetres from my longest toe to the end of the shoe. The shoe also seems to bend at the knuckle of my toes without any pinching which is supposed to be the correct place. I cannot fit a finger between my heel and the back of the shoe though, is this an issue or is there anything else that I should check for?
2. When I first tried to put on the shoes, it was difficult and required a fair amount of effort. I didn’t use a shoehorn but I had to push down and forwards on the ground to try and get my foot to slot in but when it was in, the shoe feels completely comfortable. It is almost like I could walk around comfortably with even lacing them up so definitely not too big. Maybe this is because I have only ever worn loose shoes and sneakers so I’m not used to this. Is this difficulty getting the foot in normal?
3. I have fairly thin and shallow feet and the shoe does feel snug and comfortable, but I do have flat feet and I notice that when I take a few steps, the inside of my foot starts to bulge out of the sides of the shoe a little more. I’m concerned that this might make the shoe unsightly over time as it stretches and almost deforms inward to accommodate my foot/arch rolling inward. Do you think it’s worth trying a wider fit for flat feet or would this make the shoe feel huge around my toes and heel? I’m not sure where the extra width typically is.';

Really nice color and texture combo here.
