when should a non autistic normie like myself wear a suit and which kind?
>weddings
>navy, gray, white/linen if summer
>funerals
>black
>job interview
>navy, gray
is that correct?
what shirt do you combine them with? which colors? when do you wear stripped suits? do they combine with stripped shirts?
what shoes do you combine them with?
when should you wear a vest?
is a tie or bow necessary?
two or three buttons?
where can I look for more information since Google is dead and only gives me shit?
I've never used a suit in my life and I can't even think of a situation where I'd need it, but I want to get some nonetheless
also, when looking at sizes, what does drop mean exactly? should I look for a smaller or higher number if I'm tall and skinny?
I'm going to buy used online and adjust on tailor if needed, so please don't tell me to spend hundreds on bespoke for something I don't really need'

Why are zoomers so useless? They have the entire internet at their disposal, artificial intelligence, thousands of forums on every language and even videos on every topic yet they still need to be spoonfed by strangers if everything they need doesn't pop up on the first result of a google search.

Start with a single suit until you learn how to dress and you can get use out of it everywhere. Avoid stripes unless it's very very subtle and almost the same colour as the rest of the suit. The suit should look plain. Typically twill, sharkskin, pick and pick, or birdseye. A dark navy or dark grey/charcoal suit will be fine for every occasion where you'd wear a suit. I find the navy is the default recommendation in the US, but I prefer charcoal because I think it lends itself to weddings and funerals much better and is more somber. Wear plain white poplin or twill shirts with a spread collar or semi-spread collar. Wear black oxford shoes, or semi brogues. Consider a navy blue, probably grenadine, tie for every occasion which isn't a wedding or funeral. Consider a lighter colour tie for weddings, usually a silver or something monochromatic, like a black/white puppytooth tie, maybe a pastel green or yellow if you want colours. Consider a plain satin black silk tie for funerals. You don't need a vest. You don't need a bow tie. Look at permanent style blog for more information. Experiment more when you have the absolute basics, usually shirts and ties are where you experiment but you keep the suit and shoes on the safe side.'

'Correct.
If you’re going with a tie just wear a white shirt. Choose a traditional collar, no French cuffs or shit like that if you’re autistic. No stripes.
Penny loafers, monk straps, oxfords, all those are fine.
Don’t wear a vest.
Given the scenarios you listed a tie would be necessary.
Two buttons.
Drop is the difference between jacket and waist size.
When you get the pants tailored, ask for quarter or half break.'

Two buttons is just standard now. It’s not that you can’t go for three but you said you’re an autist so just don’t deviate.
Drop is not really about slim fit as much as waist taper. Slim fit is slim throughout, but drop might mean tight around waist but not shoulders. Don’t even worry about drop really. Go to a menswear store or a department store and ask to get measurements. You don’t even have to buy anything. Once you have measurements just get standard fit stuff in your sizes and then get tailored to your liking. Personally, I think slim fit suits would terrible. If you’re a real lanklet you might need slim fit but probably not. You want a standard cut that is not slim but not 80s classic core either, which is what most suits are nowadays. Slim fit is fine for shirts though.'

I wouldn’t buy a stretch fabric suit but I don’t like slim fit either. Dude, just go to a Nordstrom’s or something and try stuff on. Suits are one thing you really should buy in-person.'

NTA but why is that a bad idea? Was considering getting a second hand Kiton or Brioni if I found one that I liked in my size, and then maybe having some minor adjustments done at a tailor. Lots of fakes? Shit condition?'
