This is what I’m worried about. I don’t know whether it’s something you can train yourself to do or if some people are just born with superhuman finger strength'

It's all about conditioning. And optimal technique. That said, not everybody was born with orango hands like Hendrix but lifting some iron can help improving the lack of strength'

Understand that you dont need your index finger holding down all 6 strings if you are fretting notes in front of the barre. Get good at playing the low E, G, B and e strings with your index'

first one is easy. my technique for the second shape is pretty rough, i'm guessing the high e string rarely rings. this is why the beatles were such gigantochads, john and george used to play the second shape with their first finger barring and their other three fingers individually fretting the notes. i never did master that'

No, learnt on a classical guitar with high action. My earlier comment was a bit snarky though. No need to comment on someone's journey. Apologies'

I think I fucked up somewhere.

>>121566535
Classical guitars are way easier, at least for me. I like the low tension and gentler nylon strings. The hardest for me to play are steel string acoustic guitars. I hate it so much, but I like the tone. I don't know if it's just my guitar that's shitty, but I can't play it for shit. Especially barre chords. On my electric, I have no issues.'

Guitar playing is not for limp wristed pussies.

Toughen up or start learning the recorder.'

This is literally all I do on the guitar. You get used to it after about a week and then you feel so free. 7ths and 9ths are also easy too. Just look up the E and A chord shapes and move em around'
