Last time I was invited to spend the afternoon with a group whose members were hired as mechanics for a track day to take some photos.

I enjoy taking photos for myself. I don't like "car-spotting" as work, I rather snap pictures of memories I want to cherish (people, cars, ambiance).

I also talk with the car owners, it's interesting to see the stories behind their cars and I usually end up finding them on a later meet. It's awesome.

I very occasionally sell something at events because most of them are casually organized, so it's hard to set up a booth - stickers are also not very common in the country so I make other stuff too.

I tried to help local meets by featuring them on an interactive map, so people can find what events are close to their location and sort them by categories (MEET, SHOW, TRACKDAY, RACE) in a similar fashion to the OP's link.
