Ah yes, sorry, SimpleX is primarily a phone app. Never tried the terminal version. I am aware of it, but have no use for it. There's a graphical desktop client, but it's weird, you have to first get the phone app and then pair it to the desktop client, it doesn't establish a standalone connection. Again, I've never tried it. If you don't like using phone apps as a general rule, SimpleX might not be a good fit for you.
