I loved Vietnam when I first came here 5 yrs ago, but I did not enjoy my Halong bay tour, it was so fake, and the people that were on tour with me are the exact people I dont like, and yes there was quite some standing in line so Americans or Brits could take their picture at X or Y spot. If people enjoy that, thats fine. I just dont like my time being wasted, I dont mind taking things slow and at my own pace, but if I want to move on quicken the pace or slow it down, I get really irritated.
