The first launch accelerates quickly, much faster than a Mack launch. It continues to accelerate to 74 MPH but it isn’t a gradual acceleration across the length of the track, it has an initial punch. It’s weaker than the original launch obviously but it’s not bad. I would compare it to Maverick, very similar but this uses a longer train and there are two rows of LSM stators.

The ride really gets going when you roll backwards and the other two launches are intense. The overall ride experience is very intense, much more than the original as you spend more time at 100+ MPH. The final launch up and over the top hat is way faster than TTD pulled you over. It’s very intense and quick and has ejector airtime. You’re also higher than the original trains so the heart line is above the original making the twists more intense. It might make some of the GP uncomfortable. It's good whilst it lasts but it is very short. You get on the app just before 7am, then at 6:59am start hammering the refresh so you get a slot as soon as it opens (Tron isn't as difficult to get as Cosmic Rewind). If you fuck up, the queue opens for evening slots at either 12pm or 1pm (can't remember) and these slots are slower to fill (you can't ride twice unless you buy a lightning lane though)

The ride looks worse than it is, the outside bit is right after the launch so it's the fastest point and it's very high up. The launch is fun without being intense enough to be scary and there are no actual drops.

B&M rattle has never bothered me. TT2's rattle gave me a headache but to be fair this was after my third ride in less than 2.5 hours. The original TTD had a slight rattle at the end of the launch and this was also where you saw the track and support columns sway as it shot up the top hat. It still does that but the new track up the spike also has a rattle. Rattle aside, it is not rough at all, it is very smooth. I don't think I'll ride it multiple times in a row again... but I don't expect an opportunity to do that again for a while anyways.

Can't recommend offsite examples. I've only 'recently' stayed at the Maingate Lakeside which was insanely cheap with a great location but a bit rundown. For a "a hotel is just somewhere to sleep" type person, probably not good for families. Pools in most hotels are rarely ultra busy but obviously watch out for huge resorts than only have 1 small pool.

Onsite I'd recommend Pop Century. Skyride access (queues look huge in mornings but move at a walking pace so you're not in them long) to Epcot and Studios. 3 pools (albeit with no slides), two of which are usually quieter. Better upkeep than the All Stars and possibly the best Disney bang:buck resort.

i just got back from a few days at universal. if you arent stopping in at every shop and skip most of the kid friendly rides, you can ride every ride worth riding in both parks in a day. i didnt go to the water park.

recommend:
- velocicoaster
- hagrid's. consistently has the worst wait time out of all rides at the parks. take my advice, never go into the single rider line for this ride. you will wait 2-3x as long as the regular line. i did it the first time i rode it, which is why i know.
- the mummy. it reminded me of space mountain

- the hulk, if you dont mind this ride really throwing you around rough to where you notice after

water rides:
- dudley doright's ripsaw falls. you will get somewhat soaked. recommend

- i dont really recommend the jurassic world water ride if you are cutting it for time. the only thing interesting about the ride is the drop toward the end of it. the rest of it is just waiting to get to the drop. you will get soaked the least on this ride

mediocre:
- harry potter ride in universal studios florida. most of this ride is jumping through hoops to get to the actual ride
- men in black. shooting ride, can be fun if you go with other people.
- harry potter ride in islands of adventure. i almost dont recommend it because you are going to feel like you are getting sea sickness if you get one of the outer seats

dont recommend:

- fast and furious

- any minions rides because i dont care at all about minions

let me mention one more thing since i hit the limit in my previous post. from my observations, the express pass is really not worth it in most cases. most of those people seemed to wait just as long as me in the regular line. dont waste your money on it.
if you are curious about butterbeer, it is just cream soda. there, i just saved you $9.50.
from what i could tell, most of the ride lockers were free except for the ones near the water rides. if you need to use a locker, they are going to expect you to keep your pass on you so you can reopen the locker. maybe bring a ziploc or something to keep your ticket dry, assuming you are getting a paper or soft cardboard ticket like they gave me. if you accidentally put your ticket in the locker and close it without realizing it, there is usually an attendant nearby who will let you back into it. just remember your locker number if this occurs.
for lockers, all rides except velocicoaster have the lockers in the area around the entrance to the ride. deal with the locker before you get on the ride. velocicoaster is the exception because you will access the lockers around roughly halfway into the ride line. the entrance line side has access to one side of the lockers, and the exit line side will allow you to get your stuff out from the back side of the locker.

if you are going to volcano bay and are not staying at or near cabana bay, just take a bus to city walk and then walk over to the buses that go to cabana bay. you save a lot of walking this way.';

I found out how you're supposed to ride it. First of all you shouldn't look around at all. You should just look straight ahead and the ride will point you at what it wants you to look at. Also keep your head back totally against the seat and they actually blow air in your face which helps. And I'd also recommend doing it early in the day before you get too hot.';

After avoiding them for a couple years I found myself with my wife and kids at Epcot recently... and still had a good time despite all the controversial changes. It doesn't feel like a complete park (and it's overpriced for what it is) but we spent a full day. Universal had better playground areas though. Both pale in comparison to the kids sections at some of the better regional parks (Kings Island and Dollywood for example).

You won't want to hear this, but the most effective way is literally pen and paper. Take notes of all the queue times every 5 minutes and detect trends.

You need to catch rides on the downswing before they trough and capture attention of people on the app. You head to a """short queue""" and you'll probably end up spending 5x the amount of time there like an amateur.

Remember, the park isn't incentivised to make you go on more rides (wear and tear). You have to beat them at their own game.';

The high capacity rides can fluctuate massively. RotR, Expedition Everest and Flights of Pandora etc. The rides with capacity issues stay high the whole day (7D, Slinky, Peter Pan). Never do Spaceship Earth early, it's walk on in the afternoon and you'll be happy for 15 minutes sitting down in the AC after all that fucking walking you do.

If you've got Extra Magic Hours, get there for early rope drop and these are the rides you get the most benefit for:

MK : 7 dwarves, Peter Pan.
AK : Two Pandora rides then depending on how much you want to rush around, Safari.
Studios: Slinky Dog, RotR, Smugglers run.
Epcot: Ratatouille, Frozen

Obviously you may not even want to do some of those and a bunch of them aren't anywhere near the best in the park, but it you're even like "I wouldn't mind doing XYZ" some of those rides will be fun if you've only waited 15 minutes whereas waiting 70mins for some of them will make you feel short changed.

Remember, if you're not refreshing the app constantly in time for 7am, you stand a good chance of not getting boarding passes for Cosmic Rewind and Tron but the queues reopen at 1pm and take a long time to fill (but it will likely be in the evening). Cosmic Rewind is an insanely fun coaster.

Most guests are not savvy at all to this stuff, especially at Disney where plenty of people go with little to no experience with any sort of theme/amusement parks. Lego Land: This year's additions were woefully underwhelming but some indoor coaster concept leaked which seems cool.

Disneyland: The Tiana ride looks laughably bad compared to Splash Mountain, and I hear that the ride will not allow any scariness as it's aimed at little girls. That masterful buildup to the final drop on Splash is probably going to be replaced by something upbeat and gay.

DCA: Have no idea what's next for DCA. I'm guessing the two new areas they are going to build in now that they have the city's approval are going to be giant IP dumps with nothing original. Hopefully they spend money.

Sea World: What serviceable but underwhelming coaster do you think is next? I predict it will be painted... blue. They massacred the main entrance, which suggests Sea World is just going to be a poor man's Six Flags going forward.

Universal: the theme is stupid but if the Fast and Furious coaster is on par with Velocicoaster but with drifting, it's going to be great. Too bad it's opening in 2026 though. Hopefully they figure out how to cram the donkey kong land in the lower lot. I heard they can demolish some old studios since they built giant replacements. USH will never be USF but they are doing a good job';
