There's a "secret" crab boss, but it's ass to fight outside of unlocking Void Fiend (who is ass to play without the Joker Mode skill mod).

DLC adds void items which corrupt normal items into an alternate version. Most of them are direct upgrades to their normal counterparts, with a few being meme items (Benthic Bloom)

The big difference with the Contact Light is that if you want to speedrun to the boss, the travel time is way shorter than what it takes to even reach a single pillar on Moon2. In terms of difficulty I'd say Returns > 2 > 1
1 has a learning curve due to some of the jank, but once you get how the game works it's pretty easy unless you're playing Starstorm or /v/ rules.
2 can be hard because enemies tend to just 1shot you, but at the same time certain characters/items trivialize the game, and the final boss is lame. RiskyMod/RiskyStarterPack is the go-to in these threads, as they both were directly designed around hosts here.
Returns is like 1 but the enemies deal a lot more damage. Consistently clearing Monsoon on this is the hardest in the series, but some of that difficulty comes from poor game design (Blighteds just 1shot you, Overloading enemies deal fuckhuge unavoidable damage, flying enemy spam that over half the cast has no way of dealing with). Despite its flaws I think it overall feels smoother to play than 1, but the lack of mods/big lobbies prevents it from having staying power once you unlock everything.

If you're going to try any of them, just grab 1 + Starstorm from here as a starting point, and disable Music Remix and Kill Remaining Enemies in the lobby rulebook.

The problem is that, as you obviously noticed, it is a direct port from DS1, so map consists of like 7 parts that are solid meshes, like the entire upper tomb map is a single mesh except for coffins. Darkness is actually universal for the entire map, its just tomb parts have torches. I know you can do different post processing depending on where player is, since dampcave (abbysal depths or whatever its called) does it for cave part but previewing PP in editor is ass, so I kinda found what looks okay and ran with it.
