the entire emotional crutch of the ending is that everyone will forget your existence.They choose not to do so because they wuv you and the game has this running theme of defying predetermined fate.

Except, let's assume that everyone was supposed to forget your existence. You saved the world by reminding everyone to essentially stay positive. Failing this, only your human character could actually approach the bittercold, your partner is as much a spectator as the residents of post town since he does fuck all.

If the bittercold were to arise again due to negative emotions (which is very likely given how society collapsed before your human got there) how would they remember the solution, let alone stop it?

the voice of life says he's immune, sure, but that doesn't prevent the world from eventually going into cyclical collapse that has no cure besides 'lol, lmao, go fuck yourselves'

'I was thinking, isn’t the Final Maze from Explorers one of the most unfair dungeons there is? 48 floors, no items, max of 3 items per floor with Apples having a spawn rate of around 1.92%, meaning probability is highly against you finding enough food to last the whole dungeon. Furthermore, Misdreavus spawns on every floor and they all know Perish Song which can hit you from range, with how often Perish Song gets used it’s going to hit the leader eventually, and Heal Seeds have a 3.23% spawn rate meaning that it’s still not very likely you’ll have one to cure Perish Song
Perish Song, food spawn rates and Heal Seed spawn rates more or less make Final Maze entirely RNG-dependent to clear even though you keep your levels and stats, and Time/Darkness forces you to do it multiple times to recruit the legendaries inside (through RNG, of course)'

I don't get what the writers were going for with Absol. This character just gets introduced out of nowhere, tells Articuno to fuck off, and then proceeds to do absolutely nothing for the rest of the arc. Even the protag and partner don't seem to acknowledge his presence and just talk among themselves. I even rewatched this part on Youtube to confirm that he has only one, ONE single line in the arc after he joins your party. And that line is just "Is this what i think it is?" (referring to Pokémon Square).
It almost feels like this character was introduced just so that the """fight""" at the end of the arc is a 3 vs 3.'
