My Xiao is way better than my osmond. I got an early bandit slingshot so my Xiao is really good, osmonds weapon breaks so fast I bought him the Snail gun as soon as I got him but had to grind it up a few levels before I could get past the Osmond floor on the moon dungeon cause his damage is just so pitiful against those Titans. Xiao on the other hand I can just pelt enemies with the double shot I built up from my bandit slingshot and it does good dps. Osmond has decent DPS too but damn his gun breaks down fast. I like ruby too but I dont have any great weapons for her her default weapon is fucking garbage 10 damage just isnt even going to cut it that far in the game thankfully I got a platinum ring right away so I didnt have to deal with that shit.

I got the shamishir right away for Toan and only used it built it up to the Sax -> Seven Branch Sword -> Atlamilla Sword -> Chronicle sword. He is by far and away my best character. Had to really grind atlamillia sword to get the chronicle sword. I had kind of given up on Chronicle until I got lucky and got a full ABS circle and another power up powder so I cashed in my gold bars for gems and did some fishing cause getting thunder and holy up to 90 was no easy task. The thing rapes though takes so many enemies down in one or two hits. Killed minotaur joe in only 3 hits.';

If you want to actually use other characters, I’d spread it out but favor melee since you shouldn’t really be getting hit as a ranged character (if you ever get hit as any character, anyway). Toan can easily be the only character you play if you’re smart with keeping an upgrade soul or whatever they’re called to temporarily slap on whatever character a curse floor forces you to use.';

It really depends on the game/scenario. Sometimes it won't salvage the really bad character, but will allow the good character to blast ass harder. On the other hand, I like using them on weak characters when the gap isn't enormous, and the stat boost serves more to keep them on par with everyone else.';
