I get where you're coming from. I see how Alex concentrating on adding content to colony management in vanilla is kinda of a mixed bag.
On one hand, a lot of the fights are epic on both fluff and crunch level. Going against 6 persean blockade in a row to protect your independence is kino.

The only dangerous crisis is the persean one and only because they spam you with 15+ fleets, tho you can catch and eliminate them one by one int hyperspace / kill both supply fleets. Crises are shit because every faction decides to send their military fleets in the middle of nowhere aka planet ass in muhosransk system immediately after it reaches size 4, even if it has 0 strategic value to the faction. Oh, and random fleets just spawn in you system right after a random crisis starts to tick, i had multiple hegemony, tritach raider, church and pather fleets spawn after leaving and re-entering my home system.'

having an underworld high or very high importance contact will give you access to all blueprints even the ones you don't have and a 2 million max build cost.
such a contact can also give the mission to steal a military ship. i get paragons for like 160k credits. i think the steal military ship os dependent on the planet.
i had an underworld pirate contact. very high importance.
military contacts (high and very high) offer to sell their faction's capital for 350ish k credits as well.'
