The last two years, my kid and I have gone to Matsuricon. It's been a lot of fun, we like people watching and doing a few panels. I thought the vendor hall was a bit sparse though.
We're thinking about the other two this year since Matsuricon is so late in the season.
All three websites give no real info, since panels and events and all that aren't posted until right before it happens. They all have cosplay contests and artists and all that, but no way to tell what sort of vibe they have.

Op here. I'm 39. Maybe I'm wrong, I just assumed there would be less vendors, panels, etc. and more "party atmosphere". When I was younger, that was fun. Now I'm older and the other stuff is fun.

It was pretty okay. Hard to be wowed by college anime club ran conventions. They surprisingly got some real guests this year.
Something about Bowling Green University really invites the stereotypical "Tumnlr" girl tho. I was amazed to see panels involving shit like Hetalia in the year our lord 2024. Also a surprising amount of people walking around with arm bar crutches. Idk if it's something in the water there or it's just their main demographic.
All and all pretty chill, I enjoy laid back cons where you can just bum around.';
