So my question to experienced furry artists out there is what do I need to do to be noticed by furries and get commissioned? What sites should I go to post my art? Is it true that furries pay all types of artists and that the demand is very high even for non extreme work?'

For real, fucking niggers shitting up the board with constant whining and utterly pathetic displays of anxiety and inhibition. GO. DRAW.
Crabs and cry babies should be perma-banned from orbit. Why can't there be a containment General for them?'

It's just that this question is easily solved by googling furry art. Find a platform, observe the flow of traffic, look at what others are doing, consider where you might fit in, acquire the necessary skills, do it.
It's not fucking brain surgery.'

>what do I need to do to be noticed by furries and get commissioned?
The fandom at its core is a community centered around self expression. People in the fandom mostly want to commission people who are personalities or have a novel theme in their work. Being good at art will help get you some business obviously, but furries will very easily be able to clock you as an "outsider" who's just looking for commissions and it will kneecap your prospects.
Commissions in the community are a form of social capital, like "check out this drawing I got from (famous artist)!". No one's going to want to show off a drawing they got from a grifter.'

if you're looking for a quick cash grab, you're probably gonna fail. if you were the type to really have the intrinsic love of the craft, you would probably already be focusing on creating art regularly, posting, sharing, etc. which are all the things you need to do to succeed in any field and any genre. the creative / skill honing aspect of things is separate from the business / marketing side of things. but there is also an art to marketing as well.
really what you should be asking (and researching / studying) is how to be a content creator. its all kind of a known science at this point. how to grow on a platform, how to foster engagement and build a community, etc. it doesn't matter if you're a furry artists, a comic artists, a musician, or a twitch streamer. the content creator / marketing aspects are the through line that you need to work on in order to build a community, network and eventually monetize.

if you have had the thought "oh I can draw furry art and make easy money" because you've been hearing rumors that that's a thing, know that you're probably one of millions of people that have had the same thought, and many are already trying to do exactly that, so there is kind of a filter in place to weed that out. which is to say, its likely not going to be instant unless you have turbo sauce + get super lucky. The lack of instant gratification and success is usually what turns the naive cash grabbers and hacks away from persisting long enough to break through.

tl;dr your success is up to you to determine by being consistent and persevering (and being extremely lucky)'

said: if your only motive is money, your chances are small. If you have some genuine passion for it, it will increase your chances, because you'll be more willing to suffer set backs.
Artists who are genuinely passionate about something will fight for it until death, which statistically (obviously) increases the probability of success. The fight also creates resilience and builds skill.

I would caution against pursuing any subject without genuine passion. The fact that you like furry art enough to get off to it is a good sign, but you also have to ask yourself, is dwelling in that state of mind for the majority of your drawing time what you want to do for a living? If there's any doubt, I would advise against it. You will burn out fast without genuine fascination with the subject.'

You missed the boat, man. Most furry artists that get paid a lot usually comes from them having like a dozen whale clients who will drop a ton of money, even ones who don't have it and run up their credit cards.'
