The U.S. has vastly superior mine-breaching capabilities but doing so requires — you guessed it, air superiority. But in reality the traditional mine-breaching operation couldn’t happen because drone ISR would immediately spot the concentration of forces and they’d get plastered by rocket arty and glide-bombs. Tanks and armored vehicles would have to be held in the rear because they would be too vulnerable at the front. Meaning it’s up to air power or indirect fire to break through because the tanks are too vulnerable.';

the US did toy around with the idea of humvee mounted TOWs, and in the mid-cold war that was what their cav units were armed with, alongside the M113 TOW

but they were retired as soon as possible in favor of M3 bradleys because a light truck with missiles strapped to it kinda sucked
the M113s hammerhead turret did make it more useful in ambush than the M3 brad, but this was not worth it compared to the extra armor, firepower, and modern electronics of the M3

a LUV with a kornet on it is not likely to be any better than the original humvee TOW arrangement
even with a more modern missile, it still doesnt address the main drawbacks, which is worse off-road, worse protection, and no self-defense capabilities compared to scout-variants of IFVs';

Bottleneck is ammunition. Russia is producing 6 Kornet rockets on average per day. this is not even enough to fill up these 8 launchers on one car. So all Russia can do is driving one of these to the front, firing 6 shots in one village and that's it. One single tank or one artillery gun can do more.
And probably cheaper because one Kornet rocket costs $26000. Artillery or tank shells are usually cheaper.';
