That was a gen 3/4 problem, fixed it with ejector and breech face changes. If you watch OISs regularly like I do then you'll realize that sudden random malfunctions with the 3s and 4s were a common occurrence while being practically non existent with the 5s. I even made a pasta back in the day of about a dozen or so Glock failures which occured over the course of a couple years in various OISs to troll the Glock fanboys for the bantz';

first off, the vast majority of these videos have some fat retard who puts their thumb behind the slide while drawing in a panic, and/or they drop the mag by accident.
second, cops do not clean their guns, they do not lube their guns, it is that simple. almost all these police glocks are running completely dry/dirty, making them cycle with less force, same as every other handgun in the world given the same treatment

i've tried to make multiple different glocks i own stovepipe via limpwristing. the only way i can make it happen is if i hold the gun so losely it flys out of my hand under recoil. this is because I ACTUALLY LUBE AND CLEAN MY WEAPONS';

I know because I own both and had to unfuck an early gen 4 G19 with weak ejection and BTF issues, 90% fixed finally with the addition of a gen 5 ejector. The breech face changes are readily apparent and admitted to by Glock, you can see them just comparing the two guns side by side. The result speaks for itself, a relative dirthe of recorded failures of gen 5s and literal threads out there of people recording the differences in ejection behavior of the two firearms on places like PF.
