You don’t have to eat large amounts to gain weight.

So why do you want to gain weight?'

Rookie mistake. Junk food hurts everyone's tummy and you're just risking more health problems down the line (remember: unhealthy = ugly, not cute). Eat healthy whole foods that are high in calories, like nuts, or mashes potatoes with lots of butter. Realize that weight gain takes time and dont try to eat 2000+ more calories than youre used to on day 1. Start slow just adding a little bit day by day and youll get used to it. also try and count calories. please dont eat junk food'

well, if you’re still here, there is one question i have left, how do i not hate my body so much? i’m a former annamaxxer, and as much as i try to ignore it, there are still some old thoughts from back then. i want to gain weight, both for my appearance and my health, but the mental wall just seems insurmountable. sorry for rambling, was just hoping you’d have something to share.'

i used to be bulimic and the self hate that triggered it just eventually went away the more i could resist purging and when i spent more time looking after my mental health. idk. try not to be so emotionally invested in a goal, treat it like a job, and eventually it gets easier to eat and bring your weight up...i wish i could give more solid advice but for me it was just one aspect of a larger initiative to deal with my mental problems'
