It depends on your budget. Tents can get expensive really fast so it's all about what you can afford. Look around for second hand stuff maybe you can find a good deal.
As for showers, it depends on what you want to do. If you've got a clean stream or river that could do but if you'd like a more portable solution or want to use sterilized water you can make something like this

I like to use papertowel, but a bandana works too; lightly soak it in cheap vodka, then whipe yourself down with it, repeat as necessary. Alcohol is a solvent so it actually works really well at removing sweat, dirt grease etc.
You can potentially dilute the vodka a bit with water to make it go a bit further and not dry out your skin as bad if thats an issue.
Don't use Isopropyl, it may be cheaper sometimes, but itll really fuck your skin up and evaporates too fast.
