I sell secondhand toys as my main income (caretaker for grandparent, can't hold full time job). I've bought and sold western and eastern figures and such through BST plenty, aside from eBay etc - that works fine.
However, I'm also sitting on a cubic fuckload of gacha-type anime figures and collectibles/keychains/etc. I sell those at a local con once a year (I deliberately go cheap as fuck, like $2 pins/$3 keychains etc/$5 figures etc), and up until recently listed them on Mercari at the same prices.
Now that Mercari has gone full retard with insane buyer fees though, I'm pulling my listings from there because nobody with two brain cells to rub together will pay $2-3 for a pin/keychain and then another $4 in fees plus $5 shipping.
Problem is, the eBay market for this shit seems dead as FUCK - probably because of all the morons who scalped $27 for $5-at-most keychains for years. I have no idea what the "popular" secondhand-sale sites are besides eBay these days - aside from the local con scene, are there any places online for selling legit (not china copy shit) anime merch cheap? I know plenty of it will have niche value at best but IDRGAF since half the reason I started doing this was knowing I could keep shit cheap like I wish it was when I was a younger fan while still making profit. I just need to know where the hell people are selling that kind of thing these days.';

There's one local anime store (upstate NY)...and they're known in the local scene for being full speed shitlords and bullies in business. Their pricing is absolute insanity, well above whatever things are going for online on a regular basis, and the owners have actively tried to get local cons shut down if they weren't vendoring at them *or* for trying to get vendors shut out of them because they wanted the exclusive market locally (legit they're the only reason the "big" con in the area (about 2k attendees) now charges $300 for a table, because they wanted to throw weight around and push out small vendors and they're former students/anime club leaders at the university that hosts the con).
Assuming they'd even buy collectibles/figures, they'd offer me GameStop money for sure and then turn around and sell it at scalper prices. I'd honestly rather sit on it all if I absolutely had to - even selling the pins at like $1-2 each, keychains at $2-3, and figures at $4-5, it's like 15k of stuff that fits in the space of about 35 shoebox tubs, which isn't terrible. I want to keep this shit affordable when I eventually can sell it, not hand it over to the people who seem hellbent on extending the old "anime: crack would be cheaper" meme and inflicting it on the next gen.';

you might be able to do coupons on ebay. Like let's say charge 5 each or something and say buy 2 or more and save 25%. I haven't done the group buys but I sold tons of ghost in the shell tachikoma keychains back in the day.';
