To solve the Ordeal Call, Ritsuka has to acknowledge what Avengers really are: Servants who seek injustices and destroy them. That means Chaldea has been using these Servants wrong and is in fact damaging their Saint Graphs when not engaging in acts of vengeance. So the actual in-story Avenger's (Jalter, Dantes, Salieri, Gorgon, Lobo, Ushi Alter, Nitocris Alter) all unanimously decide to leave, because they do not want to reduce Ritsuka into a hateful, vengeful Master just to keep them around. LINK LOST basically means they are canonically gone from Chaldea but they have enough of a link so that their Shadow Servants can be used.

The one bright side is that Abby (with Dante's blessing ) gets to live rent-free on Ritsuka's head as her new mental guardian. She implies that there is a "key" to get the Avengers back, but it's not clear what it is.

Ordeal Call 2 was designed by Dantes to teach Ritsuka about the Avenger's hate and vengeance. He basically made a high-school setting based on Ritsuka's memories to provide a her a comfortable life, then take it away by brutally murdering her friends and family to traumatize her. While he was "helping" her pass the Ordeal Call, it was plan so fucked up that even all the other Avengers call him out on this. Isn't that basically the whole reason so many Artorias cake to being? It started off with the fact that they knew players would want to ship Guda with Artoria so they created an alternate as to not piss off Shirou self insert players. Over time it's turned into a meme of a never-ending number of her popping up. This is also why I think Eresh, the Rin that looks slightly different, is the one that likes Gudako compared to Ishtar, who looks more like regularly Rin. I think BB is the only character that looks one for one an OG character that has shipping material with Guda. Then there's Medusa, who has hardly any shipping material with Gudako in any of her versions';
