Basically Kokoro and Kurumi are magical girls. Kurumi's suffering playing hero, so Naoi tells her she can just quit if she wants. Kokoro goes psycho and becomes a super villain refusing to allow Kurumi to quit playing hero. She tells Kurumi to keep doing it for her sake. Kurumi wakes up so there's no resolution.

As for Kokoro having a psycho outburst, it's been building for quite some time. Chapter 7 showed she was an awkward social outcast who became obsessed with Kurumi because Kurumi was nice to her once. Then she abandoned all of her friends because Kurumi quit talking to them, showing her obsession was more important than any other relationship. Then because she's in denial and nearly loses her mind at the though of Kurumi not being perfect, she pushed all the blame in Kurumi's "change" in behavior onto Naoi. She's also extremely jealous of Naoi, and her actions for most of volume 2 were her wanting to control Kurumi's life and keep her from realizing her feelings for Naoi. Near the end of volume 2, she was also starting to seethe about Kurumi not living up to her ideal of the perfect girlfriend. She could switch her obession onto Akane, or could finally lose her shit if she finds out that Kurumi might let Naoi live with her.';

I know lots of people have been saying Kokoro is a yandere, but I honestly don't see it. It really just feels like Naoi is great big ball of chaos that brings out the worst in people. Are people forgetting everything that happened in volume 1 between Kurumi and Naoi because it was so long ago? If Naoi wasn't the main love interest she would unquestionably be the villian of the story, hell the author could easily make her the the most hated villiain of the story if he wanted to and he wouldn't even have to change a thing about Naoi just how he frames it.
According to the story Naoi is the "hero" for freeing Kurumi from expectations she never wanted to live up to.
What's so bad about being held to a higher standard?
Let's imagine that Hou sensei never told Kurumi to hang out with Naoi, Kurumi would have the "tragedy" of being the perfect honour student class president, when she doesn't want to be which is a hell of a lot better then what's going to happen to her, and Kokoro as well would never have the balls to confess to Kurumi without Naoi thus perserving their relationship. Both characters have had their lives made infinetly worse just by interacting with Naoi. I guess Kurumi would still have had to deal with Mine and Isanuma so she wouldn't be completely out of the woods, but she would still been far better off than if she had ever met Naoi. I also wonder if the summer break is just the calm before the storm and when the school year starts Kurumi is going to be shown the full consequences of her actions and there'll be a full chapter of her regretting throwing her life away to be with Naoi and wishing she stuck with Kokoro, but Kokoro is now with Akane. Would be kino, I'm not expecting a happy ending for anyone in this story.';

Mine outed as a bitch. Azuma switches sides to help Kurumi and Naoi. Naoi's dad about to suffer consequences too. Kokoro's coming up on the hit list most likely.';

I'll admit Kurumi was full of rage at the beginning, but Naoi is always bringing out more darkness out of her. Kurumi would never have broke the photograph or the desk without Naoi. Hell when Naoi stops influecing her for a moment she takes steps to clean up the desk and only gets found out by pure chance.

How is it your "true self" if you would never have acted that way without Naoi's involvement. How is the life you've always been living a "facade."

What we have here is a serious story about hedonism, while simeltaneously also being a condemnation if hedonism. I am convinced we have villain protaganists in a story with no heroes and the would-be heroes (Kokoro, Hou sensei, and possibly Azuna) will be full blown villains at the end all because of Naoi bringing out their "truth".

Anyways I think the story is pretty great so far and I like that author(so-far) hasn't said explicity said that Naoi's actions are good or that she's secretly the most moral character bringing out people's truth. It's more interesting when the characters actions are open to interpretation. Hell I even think Hou sensei is just trying his best to deal with a situation beyond his control (all thanks to Naoi lol). The "date" with Isanuma that she suggested btw might just be him buying her an ice cream to shut her up, not that Mine will make it look that way. Looks like Hou sensei is screwed no matter what hahaha.';
