'Ranma 1/2 Ougi Jaanken is a puzzle game like Tetris or Puyo Puyo, like the name suggests, its main mechanic involves the use of rock, paper, scissors to clear stacks (for example a paper block clears a stone block) and send garbage blocks to the opponent, there's also the ability to splash a cursed character with cold water to weaken their garbage attacks.
The CPU is quite brutal in this game, otherwise this is quite a fun puzzle game.'

'The first Ranma 1/2 game for the Game Boy (just named Ranma 1⁄2) is a puzzle game more akin to something like Adventures of Lolo, you have to collect Akane's belongings to make her appear then touch her to clear a level, there's also other characters like Ryoga, Kuno or Shampoo trying to stop you.
There's a lot of box-moving puzzles that require both of Ranma's forms to complete (Ranma can send boxes really far while Ranma-chan can only move boxes by one square), you can either find water buckets or teapots by opening some crates or letting Genma throw water at you, it looks simple at first but it can get really challenging on later levels (its also one of those games where if you screw up a puzzle you have to die in order for it to reset), it also has limited continues so better be careful.'

'Ranma 1/2 Netsuretsu Kakutouhen is an adventure game, you go through different scenarios where you have to talk to other characters, fight enemies or play some platforming levels.
Something neat about this game is that you can also use either male or female Ranma to complete tasks or even clear them in a different way (iirc in the first episode you can have to fight Kuno as Ranma but if you go as Ranma-chan you skip the whole fight after she one-shots Kuno), the game is very charming even if the platforming is janky as hell (specially on the kuno mansion level), and since it's in japanese you'll probably will get stuck in some areas, still enjoyable from start to finish.'

'Ranma 1/2 Battle Renaissance is the only 3D fighting game in the series and the last Ranma game afaik, it plays like a poor man's Virtua Fighter and its main gimmick (water hazards and climate changes) is just plain annoying, it dissapointed me a lot when I played it for the first time.
If there's anything positive I can say about it is that it has manga-only characters like Ryu Kumon and Rouge as playable characters.'

'The first PC Engine Ranma game is just called "Ranma 1/2" and it's a 2D Platformer, it follows the story of the anime up to the Bakusai Tenketsu arc with the final level being an original plot involving Shampoo's father.
The game itself is kinda poor, the genderswap mechanic is very simple (Ranma hits harder while Ranma-chan is more agile), the platforming is really, really janky and you can cheese through most of the game by just abusing the super stomp technique, the final level can be a pain in the ass to clear (there's a shortcut during the Ryoga fight that helps a lot with beating this stage) and the final boss is also tough to beat.
For how janky the game is, it compensates with the really nice looking cutscenes (my favorite one are the credits where the jusenkyo guide complains about the game glitching out mid-cutscene).

'Ranma 1/2 Hard Battle/Bakuretsu Rantou Hen is probably the most well-known game due to being the only one with an overseas release (if you dont count Street Combat), it tries to be an easy to play fighting game by using simple commands instead of motions (think of using special moves in smash brothers), the results are mixed overall (i think it feels kinda odd to play) but there's some positives, I do like the spritework in this game a lot for starters, I prefer how Akane plays in this game in comparison to her Chougi Ranbu Hen counterpart and while the roster is missing some key characters (I dont think there was people excited to play as The Gambling King over someone like Kodachi), I do like that it has Pantyhose Taro as a playable character (there's also Happosai but he's only playable via debug codes).
Not a bad fighting game but I'd rather play other SNES-exclusive fighters, including CRH.'

'Ranma 1/2 Datou Ganso Musabetsu Kakutou Ryu is the last Ranma game for the PC Engine, it's a fighting game that goes from the Bathhouse Battle story up to the Hiryu Shoten-Ha arc.
This is another really simple fighter where the combat is mostly just mashing the attack button when you're near the opponent or hold the button to unleash Ranma's Amaguriken attack, though it manages to be entertaining unlike the first PCE game, and the presentation is still top notch with nice looking cutscenes, you also get extra lives by playing a card game against the gambling king.
It's nothing extraordinary but its a charming title, worth a playthrough if you like the series.'

Once you beat the game you get to play the card game against the gambling king for the Tendo house, its fun at first but it gets boring really fast by how many rooms you have to get back and the King doesn't make faces in some rounds to help you know where the Joker card is.
The reward is the code to access to the debug menu and a custcene of Kuno destroying the game and restarting the console (lol).
There's more secrets like an special message by the Jusenkyo guide, the Neko Hanten's menu and prices, some trippy visuals, a bizarre picture of a japanese man (maybe one of the devs?) and some illustration of the Ranma girls as robots!'

'Ranma 1/2 Chounai Gekitou Hen (or known as Street Combat in the west) is the first ever Ranma 1/2 game and it shows, while the graphics and music are good, the combat is awful, your attacks don't feel like they connect against the opponent at all and the damage is so damn low a round takes forever to end, the bonus games during 1P mode are neat at least.
It certainly feels like an early version of Bakuretsu Rantou Hen, so you're better off playing that instead.'

most games are displayed at 480 on a regular CRT since CRT resolution is 720x480,the bug is the interlaced stuff nothing else, resolution was fine.
Internal resolution of game meant nothing in reality (some atari games have 1280x1024 resolution but that doesn't mean they are playing at that resolution on a CRT TV).'
