V-Rally 3 on GBA by the genius duo Velez and Dubail.
It's a beautiful game in that it's graphics are amazing for the console it was made for and also it has great driving physics, amazing rally details like the windshield getting broken the more you break your car, night, mist, rain, snow races, independent car damage you have to fix after races, also huge tire selection you have to carefully consider depending on the weather/area.
It's hard to see all the different textures in such little piece of the race in this video, but it's amazing.

As an aside, anyone knows a good place to convert video into webm, I tried to compress this 7MB one low enough for 4chan limit, but it looks terrible. I've seen people uploading huge videos that look amazing, all below the 4MB limit'

I use Xmedia Recode for longish videos, it's been good at it. Set up a soundless webm and make sure VP9 is selected in the video tab. The button to calculate for a certain size (which you should set to 3.9MB because it's not exact) is on the right side of the video tab and easy to miss. I'd definitely like to see more of V-Rally 3 webms.'

Frankly, I played Genesis version so long ago, I don't even remember how it played. One thing I remembered and appreciate is the actual licensed music - yeah, sorry, chiptunes just do not quite cut it in a game like this. The addition of Breaking The Law in particular is a banger.
I can tell you that Blackthorne is better on DosBOX rather than in Arcade Collection, IMO.
The biggest downside of it though is the fact that Blizzard compiled the collection for Win10 only for whatever reason - I hate them for it. I had to install and deal with Win10, and I found out the ahrdest time that it is better not to keep Win10 and Win7 in dualboot - Win10 hates Win7 and attempts to kill it by perceiveing Win7 disk as corrupt and running chkdsk on it every time you launch Win10. It corrupted my Win7 and I've had to re-install the system for the first time in, like, 15 years or so.
So if you ar elike me still on Win7 and want to install Win10 - be sure to keep them on an easily detachable HDDs. It is better simply detach the disk of a system that you do not plan to use, rather than try to keep them together on one machine.
Though there's also something named VxKex out there, and it works fine with Dolphin. Might work with Arcade Collection and other games. Might not though.'

That looks so fucking good for GBA. Worth noting, the dashboard is pretty cleverly blocking the part of the screen where the texture perspective skewing would be at its worst (no GBA game is drawing perspective-correct textures on 3D, they're all using the PSX method because it's so much lighter to compute).'

Calculate 32768 / seconds in the vid. That will give you the variable bitrate you need to fit your video within the 4chan size limit.'

Night racing too, with a great sense of speed. I noticed the road and a few textures lower in quality to account for the dark-fade effect on the far away polygons that give the night effect. A shame that the effect couldn't be applied to the singular trees and people to complete the effect, although it kinda makes it look like they are being illuminated by the headlights.'
