I kinda have a problem with this. When I play tabletop I always play someone completely different than me. People I played with did compliment me on how easily I slip into completly forgein mindset and how well I can keep to it. But in a video game I pretty much always just play "myself but a wizard" or "myself but a warrior". I guess without other players there is no that much fun of playing someone else if there is no one see and enjoy it. Also in tabletop you aren't the centre of the universe so your character having dumb quirks or flaws won't be that much of a problem. If my character can't figure out the riddle of sphinx because he's dumb and has a crippling fear of large women due unresolved familly trauma it's not the end of the world. Someone else in the party can do it.';

Tabletop RPGs were just a way for friends to make stories together.
