Long RPG campaigns are inherently mechnaically poor. Your strategic choices are essentially all made in your build, which means you have most fun before you play the actual game, rather than in the course of playing it. This is solved in, among others, roguelikes/roguelites where one game - one build enables you to try out many different builds and in better ones forces you to adapt your build to randomy generated circumstances or tactics games which enable you to get your goons killed or replaced with better built ones along the campaign.
>Why aren't you reading books?
Books can't react to your choices. Why aren't you playing mechanically deeper games than cRPGs?'

If you aren't enjoying the game at the start you definitely aren't going to enjoy the unfinished shitty final third of the game. The beginning is the best part and it just gets worse and worse from there. Why do younglings fall for this boomer meme?

And if you do choose to continue, well the reality is most people choose stats to avoid as much combat as possible while becoming a busted mage by prioritizing WIS, INT, and CHA in that order.'

So much for a fleshed out DnD setting, but makes sense. Guess I won't bother then.

Recently saw it mentioned when checking for RPGs that have a more complex moral system for the player to choose from, as opposed to the cartoonish-tier "villain" paths that a lot of games have.'
