This. The game is Hyper Demon.
>>1458238
This is by the same person and came first.

They're both good but play like opposites.
>Devil Daggers
Defensive, stay alive as long as possible. Slow start each round with very tense late game.
>Hyper Demon
Offensive. Kill enemies to gain time, when time hits 0 you lose; get the highest time you can.
Because you aren't just surviving but actively having to create time-the game's intensity is set by your skill and aggression (which also means it's alot easier/sooner you will hit a wall and plateu skill or strategy wise).

Personally I prefer DD because of the buildup in tension and the much clearer path to progress (easier to rewatch and say "I fucked up this dodge" Vs HD rewatch being like "I was aggressive as I could, I can't tell what I'm doing wrong")'
