this stuff originated with bodybuilders using insulin who do have extremely specific windows for when they need to eat certain things. doesn't really apply to anyone else, at least not in any meaningful way.'

Insulin spikes tell your body to build.
No better time to eat than after a hard workout.'

You want many small meals when bulking to maximize muscle gain and minimize fat gain.'

Anything over 3 is at the most very marginal and nothing to stress about. Basically only if you're a professional bodybuilder you'd have to maybe think about it'

Insulin spikes tend to correspond more to your normal eating patterns. Exercise increases cortisol to release glucose from glycogen so it can be used.

I doubt it will make any significant different in the long run.'

Nutrient timing is bro science.
Read Alan Aragon's research on "anabolic windows".
You won't, you're just here to waste time.'

I've heard the actual anabolic window is around an hour, not just 30 minutes, which is why someone like Rich Piana always drink a "real food" protein shake immediately after his workout before he even left the gym, and then he got food.
I don't know if it's true or not but I do it because it feels good to eat a nice balanced meal after a hard workout.'

Anabolic window being real is a myth.
It also being a myth is a myth.

Your body needs nutrients, if the nutrients are already circulating it's a myth.
if you don't have nutrients circulating, it will cannabilize tissue to sustain life.'
