Not really it was a novel route so no benchmarks for where I expected to be at the bell. Also it was a new duration on the intervals so it's not like I could really track it by stamina decay either.';

When I was a kid me and my friend ran in the fields near our village. At some point we got carried away and ran really far into endless plots of olive trees and wheat fields. We we're so far away that our village was not visible on the horizon anymore. There were no roads, signs, landmarks or anything to recognize, just endless sprawling fields. The panic set in for the both of us when the sun started setting down. We heard coyotes barking in the distance and just started frantically looking around for the way back home.
It got pitch black dark and the only thing visible were the moon, and vague silhouettes of the olive trees. My friend argued with me that we should head to the left, I thought about it for a while and convinced him that we will go to the right instead. We both did a prayer and just sent it straight into random bushy fields, barely seeing anything, it must've been 9PM by then. We kept praying while running for around half an hour when I spotted yellow lights in the distance. They we're the street lights from the outskirts of our village. I never thanked god harder than I did that evening.';

Didn't run but after leaving a club and losing my friends I drunkenly committed to walking to a friends place around 40km (almost 25 miles) away, just following street signs. The weather was good and the walk wasn't too bad. When I arrived they were all asleep and no one opened the door.';

lol I used to walk home from the next town over (which happens to be where Super Hans lives) smashed out of my skull at 2 in the morning. Was only 6.5 miles but would take me about 4 hours sometimes.';

This read like a children's story. You could adaot it to a cautionary tale, maybe have your friend stubbornly choosing to abandon you, and end up being eaten by coyotes.';
