Anyone ever quit barbell training to box? Lifting has become boring. Especially now I have a home gym. And gym culture has become cringe nowadays with sl00ts going sl00t and douche bros. Feels like lifting gives you a false sense of security. I don't have the same confidence I had when I wrestled in high school even though I'm bigger and stronger. Combat sports seems like a healthier hobby. I don't plan on competing so brain damage really isn't an issue if I don't spar hard.'

You are an old faggot that will get your ass handed to you.

Please, be my guest. Go spar and get brain damage. Break your hip while you're at it.'

Lifting is always a chore to me but training MMA is honestly fun. Been at it for three years.'

Combat Sports are more fun and fulfilling than lifting. But you can still do both.
For me, I started training MMA 6 months ago, at 30, and I'm now 31. It's honestly my favorite hobby.

I lift 4 days a week, do to 2 days of legs/cardio and 1 day training MMA, on friday. I like training MMA so much I'm gonna add 1 more training session saturday morning, but I'm gonna wait another 6 months to git gud before I do that.

You can do both OP. You can train Muy Thai some days and lift on the other days when you don't train.
I personally feel like lifting weights and getting fit makes more sense now that I have something to work forward to.
It brings meaning to the hard work.'
