Being active and burning calories? I don't know man, I'm new to this
>>74112750
>diet
90-110 grams of protein, I don't really count calories, eat twice a day, about 1 chicken breast, 2-3 eggs a day + rice/potatoes/spaghetti, I'd imagine about 1500 calories a day, but I've been upping my intake, I eat at my grandma's

Started a month ago, used to be very sedentary
5x5 stronglifts 3 times a week

Protein is fine
>I'd imagine about 1500 calories a day
That sounds low. Has your weight actually been going up or are you staying the same?

>5x5 stronglifts 3 times a week
Assuming that you're talking about this:
https://stronglifts.com/stronglifts-5x5/workout-program/
That seems like a fine routine that will get you long term results. There's no specific ab training there though so if you wanted abs faster you should add some training for those specifically.
>I don't really move other than that
Cardio would make you healthier and help you eat more but it sounds like you're already having trouble eating enough food as it is.
Are the strength workouts enough for you to consistently get tired/sore on your rest days? If not you should probably add some more exercises and maybe another workout day a week. If there are specific muscles you want to get big faster then you should add some isolation movements for those muscles.

>>74112698
>Should I do cardio daily?
If you want to gain muscle, you should try avoiding intense cardio on your lift days if you can.
Light cardio like walking is good to do every day if you're losing weight, but you probably want to gain.
Doing it on your non-lift days will make you fitter but not necessarily more jacked.'

Thanks a lot for the advice, anon.
>Has your weight actually been going up or are you staying the same?
It went up slowly, I weighed 50 kilos.
Yeah, that's the routine.
>Are the strength workouts enough for you to consistently get tired/sore on your rest days?
Yes, I've been incrementing the weights. I don't get sore anymore, though, even though the weights are getting harder to lift.
>sounds like you're already having trouble eating enough food as it is
Yeah, I need to eat more, just not used to eating in large quantities.
>you should try avoiding intense cardio on your lift days
Noted, thanks.'

>Yeah, I need to eat more, just not used to eating in large quantities.
If you're weight's going up by about 0.5kg/week then you're doing fine. More than that and you get slightly more muscle and a lot more fat (so you need to cut more often).
1500 sounds low but if you're gaining weight then it's the right amount for you.
>Yes, I've been incrementing the weights. I don't get sore anymore, though, even though the weights are getting harder to lift.
That's fairly typical. If you feel like you can do it then either adding more sets, more days or more exercises can help you progress faster. Otherwise if you're happy with your progress you can just keep doing what you're doing.'

It's been a month since I started going to an actual gym.
I started with calisthenics and 5-10 liter water bottles at home a month or so before that. 1500 does seem pretty low, but I can't eat too much without wanting to vomit, so I've been upping my intake slowly.
Thanks bro, I'll add more exercises.'
