This will probably be the last time i post here, some of these are new, taken with my trusty old Ricoh Gr i got way back in 2015 (which i never ONCE dealt with the *dust* issue), some with my Nikon d750, and a few from my Samsung S10/Google Pixel 7 phones.
A lot of these are going to be old files I've either re-edited, or old RAWs i never got around to touching, and just recently gave them my best shot. I will also add a few photos i think are my absolute best (i will label them as such), feel free to shit on as many of them as hard as you want, ill bite the pillow and take it dry.
Anyways, its been a great 10 years on this god forbidden board, and even though gear faggotry never slowed (in fact, it got worse, thanks Sony) you guys were the ones that taught me everything i know. From taking and giving criticism, to techniques and genuinely great advice, i got it from here (i still miss Bass). Thanks guys, its been fun.

I've heard everything from full frame is the only way to go, to sensor doesn't matter if you're good enough, to you shouldn't be shooting in low light anyway

I can't find any of my old shots because it was 6 or 7 years ago that I last used this camera, but I used to take what I thought were pretty cool looking low light pictures on a shitty Canon G5 point and shoot. I'd set the iso as low as it would go and do anywhere from 3 to 15 second exposures depending on how much light there was. I was always impressed at how much detail it captured and I thought they came out great a lot of the time. Are there "better" options? sure, but it's not like you're just out of luck unless you get some camera that's specifically made for low light. hell i've even gotten some nice low light long exposure shots on my damn cell phone.

look man, all i can say is the Ricoh Gr is an AMAZING little camera, doesnt really matter which version you get, i cant recommend it enough
dont worry about sensor sizes, worry more about good lenses. Your technique will always matter more than gear, you can take breathtaking low-light stuff with a nikon d3200 if you know what youre doing

m43 to aps-c to ff is ~1-1.5ish stops better each jump, really depend on what models you compare
going f5.6 to f2 lens lets you shoot 3 stops lower iso, much greater than going up once in sensor size
ibis help with handheld shots of static scenes, ranges from like 3 to 7ish stop, really depend on model
tripod or set camera down lets you shoot the best quality and often bigger difference than bigger sensor and faster lens even
so consider what lenses you want to use and how much handheld vs tripod
then body choice become clear';

i lucked out by being cursed to live in Wyoming where even in the city, light pollution is very low, so out in rural areas, the sky really does look like this

the Norwegians have crazy bright street lights and they love christmas lights, so I guess you could base a living just on importing and selling christmas lights. when there's lots of snow, it's actually not "that" dark, because it reflects so much scattered light from all around.
