The site and forums went down about two weeks and there's been no word on what's going on.
If it's for real gone this time (the forums have went down a few times now over the past few years), then it's a real shame, because as far as I'm aware, it was one of the last true 'forums' where fans were discussing toys, as they have for almost twenty years.
I know most people on here really only know the Fwoosh as a youtube channel, but for some of us, it's been so much more. As someone who started chatting toys on the Raving Toy Maniacs Toybuzz board back in the late nineties, The Fwoosh has always felt like a community that grew out of the Toy Buzz, and has been a community of like-minded toy fans for almost 20 years now. For it to simply disappear without any fanfare feels really weird and like the true end to an era. I suppose everything was on borrowed time after Robo and Veebs left as they kind of embodied the heart of the forum community..
We've still got fandom specific forums, but, unless I'm mistaken, the Fwoosh was the last of the 'general' toy forums that embraced pretty much all properties, though they did stick to 6" scale for the most part. But as a collector of a certain age, there was a comfort there, and a snarkiness, that was true to those early days talking toys on the 'net, and I'm going to miss it if it's truly gone for good. I was a lurker for many years, and then a minor poster, but I'll still miss the gang who hung out there.
So I guess this is just one toy fan's eulogy for a forgotten internet era. Now, anyone know of any other forums that are still kicking and still active?';

So Spector took some photos from a toy review website, The Figure In Question" and used several dozen photos in his various videos throughout the years. The photos were all watermarked but Spector went out of his way to obstruct and remove them. The photographer of the photos found out about this, researched how many of his photos that Spector used, and proceeded to file a bunch of copyright claims (30 in total, less than half of the total videos that featured his work) on YouTube. To make a long story short, once Spector reached out to the photographer saying he would be willing to remove all the photos in question, so the photographer recanted the strikes, assuming Spector would act in good faith, even going on to say he was fine with Spector continuing to feature his work, as long as he received credit in the form of a link to his website in the description or something as trivial as that. He would even let Spector use the existing stuff if he just added a link in a pinned comment or something like that. Anyway, once the strikes werr removed, Spector ended up not keeping his word and demanded copyright proof and what not from the photographer. Eventually the photographer ended up filing a claim with the copyright office leading to Spector voluntarily shutting down his channel.
Setting the drama aside, what do you guys think about this? If you took toy photography in a semi professional manner, at least enough to watermark your photos that you post on your own website, would you file claims against someone using your work without your permission?';

I'm not really surprised though, it seems that every crowdfund I hear about just fails somehow. Cyberfrog was advertised to me as a product improved by collector feedback, but I still notice things like Frog's nearly unposable head, how its thighs share a joint so they both rotate together, how the belt obstructs them too and especially the giant feet which I've always felt uncertain about. Then Heather's toy has arms that break the clean mold from her sleeves, and she has that same terrible Marvel Legends butt that obstructs leg articulation. And lastly she has long hair, which means head articulation is also restricted. Her alternate head doesnt help neither, and I simply dont like it. Anyway, just wanted to vent and maybe hear your thoughts too, because I don't recall you guys talking about it much when they started shipping';

String comment = 'This is one of those collectable things I just never understood the appeal of. Personally, when it comes to trading cards in general, I'm only interested in the cards with an actual game like pokemon or magic, but not for the resells value or whatever.
Why do people actually like collecting things like baseball cards? Is it like an NFT where they buy them thinking they can upsell them and make a fortune? I can understand searching for specific players you actually follow or famous icons of the past, but I see people at flea markets and swap meets with vans full of cards, and they might sell one or two out of their entire collection.
And these things are massive shelf warmers I've seen many stores with shelves just like this video, just packed and overflowing with cards for every major sport, and no one is even looking at them.
