The Pony Preservation Project is a collaborative effort by /mlp/ to build and curate pony datasets for as many applications in AI as possible.
Technology has progressed such that a trained neural network can generate convincing voice clips, drawings and text for any person or character using existing audio recordings, artwork and fanfics as a reference. As you can surely imagine, AI pony voices, drawings and text have endless applications for pony content creation.
AI is incredibly versatile, basically anything that can be boiled down to a simple dataset can be used for training to create more of it. AI-generated images, fanfics, wAIfu chatbots and even animation are possible, and are being worked on here.
Any anon is free to join, and there are many active tasks that would suit any level of technical expertise. If you’re interested in helping out, take a look at the quick start guide linked below and ask in the thread for any further detail you need.

This fandom has been around for nearly 14 years now and in that time tons of content has been produced. However , in that time some of this aforementioned content has been sadly lost to either the sands of time or been deleted by it's separate creators.
I am more than willing to comb through/archive a bunch of nostalgic content and instead of placing them into a digital archive like many others have done I'll instead place them onto discs. I have already thought out my process of doing this as well and it goes as follows:

I explain each category below, read this below you vote on which one you are! If none of these describe you, please suggest a new category! The below covers all of the perspectives I have seen.
Normal Faustfags: People who think that Seasons 1 and 2 are easily the best, and that Faust leaving is what started the show's decline. This describes most of this board, and a lot of the fans who lost interest during 2013.
Season 1 Purist Faustfags: People who think the show got much worse as soon as Season 2 came along, they view Season 1 as the only non-corrupted season, viewing everything after as lacking the same charm.
Season 3 inclusive Faustfags: People who consider Seasons 1-3 the golden era, they see Season 3 as more or less true to the tone and quality of the first 2 seasons, and don't think the show drastically changed or got worse until after Twilicorn.
Season 5 inclusive Faustfags:
This group seems weird at first, but it's surprisingly not too uncommon. This are people who love seasons 1-2 and thought seasons 3 and 4 were a decline that lacked the spirit and charm of before. But they also think season 5 is really good due to having more of a slice of life charm compared to 3/4 and having in their view better quality episodes than the previous two seasons with less fan pandering & coporate forced plot points.
Normal McCarthyfags: People who think the show was really good for its first 5 seasons, and went downhill when Haber took over the show and all the old writers left (My view that I expressed in the chart, a sizeable minority of this board, and a lot of normie fans who lost interest after Season 5)
Season 1 Exclusionary McCarthyfags:
People who really like seasons 2/3/4/5, but think that Season 1 doesn't hold up well.
Season 3 Exclusionary McCarthyfags: People who really like all of 1/2/4/5, but thought that Season 3 was a rushed mess with not the best episodes.
Season 5 Exclusionary McCarthyfags: People who think seasons 1-4 were great, but that the show declined post-castle, viewing season 5 as worse than everything before. I sympathize with this view since I do think season 5 was weaker than the first 4 seasons and started some issues, but at the same time I still think it's a really good season and far better than anything after, so I would still put myself in the normal Mcarthyfag camp.
Season 7 Inclusive McCarthyfags:
Season 1-5 fans who also found season 7 to be really good, but did not like Seasons 6, 8, or 9.
Normal Haberfags: People who think the entire show was consistently good.
Half-Haberfags (aka Starlightfags):
People who think seasons 1-7 were all consistently good, but that seasons 8-9 were a decline.
Anti-Season 1 Haberfag:
People who really like every season except for 1, which they don't think hold up well.
Anti-Faust Haberfag:
People who think seasons 1/2/3 were the worst seasons and that the show didn't become really good until Season 4.';

for me I constantly think about how my method of how I would reform villain's compared to celestia's is very different so I'm off adventuring to reform villain's and stuff and every time I succeed I make sure they either establish lasting peaceful relations with equestria or are off doing something that's guaranteed to never cause problems ever again
I don't wanna get too into it but the TLDR version went something like this
>Chrysalis = using economics to solve the need for raiding for love and instead trading for it resulting in easier and larger acquisition than raids or full conquering ever could
>Discord = befriend him and also let him do his thing but find a way for him to realize that his creations will never be able to share the same genuine friendship with him as anyone else which then gives him a reason to be more agreeable despite his chaotic tendencies
big point of the story is im simultaniously avoiding celestia while trying to reform villians in my own way without brute forcing it even using mutual rebellion (non violently of course) against celestia as a starting point for the new friendship
